The deity of Christ, see v. 35
The mystery of Proverbs 30:4 has been revealed, see also John 3:13
Thanks I like you’re point but it says these things were done to Mary?

'For He that is mighty
hath done to me great things;
and holy is His name.'

(Luke 1:49)

Hi @theefaith,

It is an exclamation of wonder, worship and praise I believe, because Mary has been so 'highly favoured (charitoo)' [Luke 1:28]. It should be our cry too, as those who have been saved by God's grace, for we have been equally highly favoured in having been 'accepted (charitoo) in the beloved' [Ephesians 1:6].

Thank you
In Christ Jesus
Chris

Mary was not immaculately conceived, nor sinless. That's an artifact of Asherah/Isis/Eos goddess worship folded into the early mixing of secular government & the church.

what need has she of salvation if she is sinless?

o but the RCC does call her co-saviour. Ba'al & his Asherah. Zeus + Hera. Ra + Isis.

let me teach you something, for your sake:

Then the multitude came together again, so that they could not so much as eat bread.
But when His own people heard about this, they went out to lay hold of Him, for they said, “He is out of His mind.”

(Mark 3:20-21)

there was a time when Mary did not believe. so much for her immaculacy, eh?

come out of Babylon, and be free

The Messiah had to come and be born of a woman. Mary isn't sinless, and never was. She was a virgin who honored God.

Romans 3:23 (KJV) For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

That chapter in Luke is largely speaking of how all of those things came about, and Mary worshiping God and calling GOD holy. Have you ever noticed that Jesus is never recorded in the Bible as calling Mary "mother" until the cross? He was looking after her. She had no husband nor son to care for her, so He made sure John took her under his wing.

Mary is not EVER mentioned as a redeemer or source of our salvation. Mary is NEVER mentioned as being called God or the mother of God (as a title). The whole Bible points to Christ, NOT to Mary. Salvation is from God alone. (And btw, as far as Peter being "the stone" ...look Who is the stone! Jesus Christ of Nazareth!)

Acts 4:10-12 (KJV)
10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.
11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.
12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Who is it that is full of grace? Not Mary!! lol

John 1:14 (KJV) And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Righteousness and redemption comes through faith in Christ! Do we see see Mary named a co-redeemer? Absolutely NOT!

Romans 3:21-26 (KJV)
21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.

There is no such teaching in the Bible. Yet you continue to promote your false Catholic doctrines as though they matter to non-Catholics. They don't even matter to Pope Francis, who has his own agenda and is using the Catholic Church to promote it.
What disturbs me even more is that this site allows the promotion of false gospels.

That's a tough one when the site is upholding free speech. But I agree. Perhaps a warning note or a red flag would help. There's also a lot of "clutter" in my estimation which could be removed.

And even there He declares her John's mother, not His own. While John's actual mother is standing nearby. He calls her "Woman" - - hearkening back to the original name of Adam's wife.

Me too.

I am visiting from CC forums - this is the place where all the people banned from CC for teaching false doctrine come, and spout their heresy without oversight.

My very first impression of this site was wow, so much open blasphemy! It's very different from what I have been used to.

The powerful One is Jehovah, the great deeds was His impregnating Mary. She was clearly happy and blessed as out of all the women on the earth, she had the privilege of bearing God's son, the foretold Messiah. What a privilege that will go down in eternal history.

Jesus’ Birth Foretold

26 Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a city in Galilee called Nazareth, 27 to a virgin engaged to a man whose name was Joseph, of the descendants of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary. 28 And coming in, he said to her, “Greetings, favored one! The Lord is with you.” 29 But she was very perplexed at this statement, and kept pondering what kind of salutation this was. 30 The angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; for you have found favor with God. 31 And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name Him Jesus. 32 He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David; 33 and He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and His kingdom will have no end.” 34 Mary said to the angel, “How can this be, since I am a virgin?” 35 The angel answered and said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; and for that reason the holy Child shall be called the Son of God. 36 And behold, even your relative Elizabeth has also conceived a son in her old age; and she who was called barren is now in her sixth month. 37 For nothing will be impossible with God.” 38 And Mary said, “Behold, the bondslave of the Lord; may it be done to me according to your word.” And the angel departed from her.

Mary Visits Elizabeth
39 Now at this time Mary arose and went in a hurry to the hill country, to a city of Judah, 40 and entered the house of Zacharias and greeted Elizabeth. 41 When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the baby leaped in her womb; and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. 42 And she cried out with a loud voice and said, “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb! 43 And how has it happened to me, that the mother of my Lord would come to me? 44 For behold, when the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the baby leaped in my womb for joy. 45 And blessed is she who believed that there would be a fulfillment of what had been spoken to her by the Lord.”

The Magnificat
46 And Mary said:

“My soul exalts the Lord,
47 And my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior.
48 “For He has had regard for the humble state of His bondslave;
For behold, from this time on all generations will count me blessed.
49 “For the Mighty One has done great things for me;
And holy is His name.

The church is commanded to teach the truth matt 28:19

why does it need be in the Bible, we have no false doctrine such as the “Bible alone” but believe all God has revealed especially thru Christ and his church his apostles acts 2:42 Lk 10:16

gen 3:15 enmity total war
Lk 1:28 full of grace
Rev 12:1 immaculate purity
