Adam was the first Man.
Abraham was the first man to receive "righteousness by faith".
The Bible doesn't say that. It says that righteousness was credited to him, but it does not say he was the first.

The bible states that Adam is the first human created in God's image.
Show us another one, if you think you can do it. @JBO

So, Trust the bible, and get away from man made "commentaries" and "religious books" and false religious online sites, and certain forum God hating agitators as they have led you astray.

Yes, Adam was the first human created in God's image.

But you said Abraham was the first man to receive righteousness by faith. That was what I was correcting.

The born again are to understand that Abraham is the "father of our Faith"....Paul teaches.
He does not say this about Noah, even tho God gave Noah the same imputed righteousness.
So, All born again Christians are "Abraham's seed" and "heirs according to the Promise" Galatians teaches us along with Romans.
All the born again are "heirs of God" and "joint heirs with Jesus" based on being "of = the Seed of Abraham" who is Christ.
And this Eternal Promise is connected to the doctrine of "Righteousness of faith" that Paul teaches.

Not the same thing.

and where does Noah fit?

Moses is a early OT example of God giving "imputed righteousness" to a sinner because of their FAITH.

"Imputed righteousness" is our Salvation.

"While we were YET sinners"........God gives to a BELIEVER "imputed righteousness"..

And notice, this is while the new believer is "while we were yet sinners".

God didnt give them His Son's Righteousness after they tried to be good.........He gave them His "gift of Righteousness".. "while we were yet sinners".

That is God's GRACE...........in that He gives eternal righteousness to a SINNER ...= in exchange for their Faith in Christ.

= "" Jesus came into the world to save SINNERS".........One Believer at a time.

And what is that doctrine?
That is Paul's doctrine....>>"the righteousness of/by FAITH."""

"Grace, through Faith".

"our FAITH is counted by God.....as (Christ's Righteousness) imputed to the BELIEVER"......>"while they were yet a SINNER".

Reader, are you a Christian?.......Are you truly born again, and im not talking about your water baptism moment.
Then you became a Christian while you were "yet a sinner" based on your FAITH in Christ that God accepted ONE TIME..
So, if you are now arguing some type of "i have to be good and confess all the sin i can remember to try to stay saved" = religious nonsense, when in fact you were saved when you were "yet a sinner"....... then you dont understand Jesus's Cross or God's Salvation.....at all.

so you turn God into a trader, not the giver of free gifts......even while you speak with a forked tongue!

Its like this... confused person.

The Cross of Christ is a "Divine exchange" whereby God's Son becomes the sin of a believer, and they become His imputed righteousness.
It can also be explained as a "Great Exchange" and the person in the video below sings all about it.

"for GOD hath made Jesus to be sin.........for us"....

A.) "US" is every one who BELIEVES.

"Jesus is the ONE TIME.........ETERNAL...........SACRIFICE for Sin".

The Atonement covers more than ONLY believers.

1 John 2:2 NIV
He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.

Jesus shed His Blood (the atonement) for the sin of the world.....One Believer at a time.
Even you @St Steven, cant be so literally and religiously dumbed down, whereby you have not read over and over in the NT, ... and understood....= where the scriptures tell you that you have to """BELIEVE."""
The NT even says that if you dont BELIEVE, you are ""DAMNED"

"Damned"., as in "going to Hell"............as in "John 3:36"

Believe, Believe ..............BELIEVE..........or you have no FAITH in Christ.... that God can Accpet to accept you before you die.

Salvation is not automatic.......but the Gift of God's Blood, is universally offered. "to as many as will BELIEVE".. the NT Teaches.

This is why Christians are called "BELIEVERS".

Understand yet @St. SteVen ???????????

God is not a Trader. He has no need to and no desire to. It is humans who have overlayed 'Trading' onto him. We have done it because we are Traders. We are tight fisted and think generosity consists of 'deals'. We have made God in our image.

God is generous, withholding nothing. He limits himself to a human body so we can observe his style. He forgives with a word, requiring nothing. He creates with a word, out of nothing. He is preeminent in all things.
