To have Love towards God first despite all circumstances in thankfulness, and to have love towards others is the result of coming to faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. It also comes to the result of dying to self and living for God, who comes first, and to love others (despite how we may believe or think) - who may not even be Christian, Taken.

Hearing /Reading / Receiving ~ The Word of God

What is the consequence?
Hearing/Reading/Receiving the word of God has no consequences if we obey. Satan hears this also but does not obey. "Doing" good works causes Satan to resist us and attempt to punish us. There are Satan created consequences for doing good. Also with the communication of the Holy Ghost there is also the fact that Satan tries to get a person to blaspheme Gods words. So that is a Satan constructed consequence.

Also there may be consequences for sinning. We all know that. As it leads to death. Spiritually and/or physically.

HTH :)

If you define "consequence" is the neutral sense, the consequence would be a changed life from, Hearing/Reading/Receiving the Word of God.

Hi devin -
Consequence does not mean negative.
Consequence means result, positive or negative.

I spelled out the bad consequences. Hearing/Reading/Receiving can be accompanied by the Holy Ghost. That is a good gift of God, but that is not a consequence.

I can't think of anything else right now.

Hearing /Reading / Receiving ~ The Word of God

What is the consequence?

The consequence for receiving the Word of God is:
Being gifted with measures of Gods Gift of Faith.

Rom 10:
[17] So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Glory to God,
Taken

After I fell asleep I thought of another positive effect of learning the bible. And that is learning what good is.

Satan lied to Adam and Eve, and said they would become like God knowing good and evil.

Satan taught them evil and God taught them good.

There are two outcomes Taken, mentioned in the Bible often. Right from the very start Jehovah stated those outcomes to Adam, the first human on earth. No doubt you are familiar with His words there sir: (Genesis 2:17) . . .as for the tree of the knowledge of good and bad, you must not eat from it, for in the day you eat from it you will certainly die.”

(Genesis 3:17-19) . . .“Because you listened to your wife’s voice and ate from the tree concerning which I gave you this command, ‘You must not eat from it,’ . . you will. . .return to the ground, for out of it you were taken. For dust you are and to dust you will return.. . .

God said it, it happened, and the same possibilities are still open to every single individual who has ever lived, life or death, our choice Deut 30:19,20

Yes, they Heard. The TREE of LIFE smack dab in the middle of the Garden, FOR them to freely Eat...(even when they were being booted out of the Garden, they could have reached out and ate from the TREE OF LIFE)....but they mingled around the Garden Eating of other Trees.

It’s a duel lesson. Gods Word first...Man guard the weaker...The weaker was Female...and later we learn it is offspring the weakest yet.

Not talking muscles. But mean, Gods ORDER of His dispensing KNOWLEDGE. Gods Knowledge IS TRUTH. The more Knowledge of Gods Truth, the more prepared and capable an individual is to WARD of cunning lies that appear as truths but which are not.
Man was taught first, thus great responsibility falls on Him to teach, and guard those under His roof.

Eve was the Weaker, and oops the Man yielded to the Woman, even when He KNEW NOT TO.

This world is presently in a vicarious conundrum position...with MEN shrinking out of the picture...Chirst men woman, child.
And further; Christ , Dads , Mother’s ...
Governments, Children.

I think there is no consequence unless we act on the Word of God.

Gifted with measures of faith from God for hearing.

Regarding, “acting on the Word of God”, I would say is: Believing what you hear.

Consequence for Believing ?

God “WITH” that man.

We can review History. Men who Believed, God was WITH them.
Men who doubted, disobeyed, because they doubted to DO what God instructed...Consequence for doubting, disobeying, not trust?
God would “Leave them to do as they pleased and they be on their own when things did not work out for them”.

We should do what the Lord told us to do, wouldn't you say?
