What's Up With Sex?

I don' think the church is opposed to a sexual relationship between a husband and wife.

Gen 1:28 God blessed them; and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, would be impossible without it.

Who me?

Church played no role . It was up to the parents who emphatically emphasized that
a girl must remain a virgin... ( boys ... well.... they had no restrictions)

I was assured... well into my 20s that no guy would marry a non virgin.... and I am talking about late 1960s and 70s....

Funny that the girls I knew who were not so pure were those walking down the aisle.

But I was assured the man I would want would value me....

I had no negative thoughts on sex what so ever.... (back then)...

I will say no more about that. I never married and I am in my 70s.

I kept waiting and praying ( although I may have blown that) ... and it was as if I was to live
without marriage as God may have had other things in store for me.

It was not easy. It still is not. And ues, I miss not having children.

But if I had been married I would have had very few hang ups...

Animals - The temporal bodies of clay we share with animals
The Gods - The eternal knowledge and spirit we share with the Gods

Noting...

Animals - Such pleasures are temporal, leaving us ahungered
The Gods - Such pleasures are eternal, leaving us sufficed

And Again...

Animals - Material and physical needs
The Gods - Intellectual and Spiritual needs

Clarifying "Gods" a little trying to avoid the Trinity debate...

Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods? - John 10:34

Trying to say that if there is not enough of the heavenly stuff inside bodies made of clay any kind of pleasures are only for the moment and destined to be with terrible outcome.

I dont think too much as depending on your age Mine was the generation who
made it ok for sex outside of marriage and it never went back.

For people who felt it would be necessary for girls to abstain... they had a choice to make.

But enter the hippies of the day, and many just snuck around not allowing it to be common
knowledge. Living together openly became the accepted norm. Or some girls just married too young.

The results of this... the explosion of abortions.... Where 2 wrongs never made a right.

Not only that the children born into terrible homes!
