Did you exchange truth for human reasoning???
Stop it. You do not know what you are talking about.
PLEASE reexamine my words and see if you can SEE where i used the word 'symbolic'
Of course, I read your words...and...
the phrase "stars of heaven" are symbolic and speak of angels
Typical misunderstanding.
Rev 1:20
(20) The
mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The
seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches.
The
Fact is, historically, when a message is written to the Church, it is written to a Messenger of the Church,
for the Church. Not an angel, a [
aggelos] or Messenger. When the Apostles sent a message to the Church, they often sent it via a Messenger of the Church. But you attempt to make this simple text seem like it is a aberration of scripture, when "in fact" it is the normal procedure for God to send messages to His people, by His Messenger.
..Normal!!!!
Is it really a mystery who the Messenger of God is? For example:
Malachi 2:7
- "For the priest's lips should keep knowledge, and they should seek the law at his mouth: for he is the messenger of the LORD of hosts."
The
very same Hebrew word used throughout the old Covenant and translated Angel!!!! Clearly,
this angel of the Lord is not an angelic being, but a leader, a priest, a messenger of God's congregation!
Mark 1:2
- "As it is written in the prophets, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee."
Lo and behold, from God's own mouth, John the baptist was the Angel [aggelos] of the old covenant Church or congregation, sent to prepare it for Christ. Exact same word!!! So again, where's the mystery? Likewise Christ has revealed the mystery of the seven stars which He protects in His hand. He says they are the seven Messengers of the seven Churches whom He is going to send messages via the prophet, John. ..where is the mystery? Do you even know what the number seven signifies in Scripture? God is talking to His people (messengers) of ALL churches. Seven churches = Complete church! Not some cute seven literal churches over there in Turkey.
Likewise, Paul's thorn in the flesh, God called the [aggelos] Messenger of Satan. It wasn't an angel, it was the "Judaizers," the Jewish leaders who accosted and persecuted him daily. Messengers of the old Covenant congregation who were of Satan. ..where is the mystery of this word?
Surprise, surprise! So much for
human reasoning, eh?
the phrase "great red dragon" is symbolic of satan
Well... duh! The great red dragon is symbolically the spirit of Satan! The spirit of man! Not some created being.
One of satan's abilities to deceive and conquer is by using those fallen angels who serve him by having them sent down to earth.
LOL, you have not reading my post very well. Go look up word study of "angel" in Greek. It is the messengers! Not some created beings with feather wings or bat wings. They are HUMAN MESSENGERS with the spirit of Satan. They have symbolically been cast out of the congregation as they no longer represent the Kingdom of Heaven. Not talking about falling from literal heaven here!
Sigh...
Satan did this once before in Noah's day/time.
I say that you have been brainwashed like I have. Sorry to say.
But, hey, here is the fun part for you. Let's talk about Revelation 12:15-17 within the same context:
Rev 12:15-17
- And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.
- And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.
- And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
Since you believe the serpent symbolically is Satan, a purely spiritual being. -- Okay, fair enough. Now tell me this:
How exactly does a SPIRIT spew out literal water like a flood? I mean, are we imagining a ghost-dragon with a firehose for a mouth? What kind of “water” are we talking about here? Sparkling? Saltwater? Come on.
And then—this “flood” was supposed to sweep away
the woman, who I have already established represents the faithful congregation (not some lady camping in the desert). So… you’re telling me Satan tries to drown a woman with literal water... from his spiritual mouth... and then the
earth—yes, the ground—suddenly grows a mouth and swallows up the flood like some giant sinkhole superhero?
No? Okay, let's hear your understanding of these verses then, humm?!
