Davy noted:
<angels of Genesis 6 that took wives>

Bible noted:
<When man began to multiply...they took as their wives any the chose>

I see nothing about angels, looks more like harems of mighty men. King Solomon had multiple wives.

FOR THOSE BRETHREN IN CHRIST INTERESTED...

Gen 6:1-2
6 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,
2 That the sons of God saw
the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.
KJV

In The Old Testament, the "sons of God" phrase is pointing directly to the angels. That is who appeared before God's Throne with Satan in the Book of Job.

The "daughters of men" phrase in the Hebrew is actually about the daughters of the man
'eth'ha'aadam, meaning the man Adam, the Seed which Christ would be born through.

Gen 6:4
4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.
KJV

The "men of renown" means men of the legend. What legend? The old mythologies which exist in every major ancient culture's writings. In the camp of Buffalo Bill, per his autobiography, a Pawnee Indian brought in a huge femur bone, and a doctor in the camp identified it as a human femur bone. The Pawnee said in their history there was once a large race of men, three times the height of a normal human, and they would run along side the buffalo and grab one, then tear off its leg and eat while running with the herd. The Pawnee said these men mocked the Great Spirit, and then there was a flood that drove them to the mountains, and then the flood went above the mountains and they perished.

Gen 6:9
9 These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and
perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.
KJV

The Hebrew word for "perfect" is the same Hebrew word used in The Old Testament for the sacrificial purity of animals required per the old covenant sacrifices. Noah had kept his bloodline pure all the way back to the man Adam.

2 Sam 21:16
16 And Ishbi-benob, which was of the sons of the giant, the weight of whose spear weighed three hundred shekels of brass in weight, he being girded with a new sword, thought to have slain David.
KJV

2 Sam 21:20
20 And there was yet a battle in Gath, where was a man of great stature, that had on every hand six fingers, and on every foot six toes, four and twenty in number; and he also was born to the giant.
KJV

1 Chron 20:6
6 And yet again there was war at Gath, where was a man of great stature, whose fingers and toes were four and twenty, six on each hand, and six on each foot: and he also was the son of the giant.
KJV

The above descriptions reveal a hybrid-race that once dwelt upon this earth. In the Book of Jude we are told the fallen angels left their own habitation and estate, and went after strange flesh (i.e., flesh women). Those particular angels Jude 6 says are kept in chains in the abyss awaiting the great day of judgment.

Isa 26:14
14 They are dead, they shall not live; they are
deceased, they shall not rise: therefore hast thou visited and destroyed them, and made all their memory to perish.
KJV

The name Rephaim is a proper name for the hybrid-giant race in the Old Testament. In two places in the KJV Bible, that proper name Rephaim was not brought into the English. The above Isaiah 26:14 verse is one of them. Note what that verse reveals. The Rephaim are 'dead', literally gone, and shall not rise, meaning they shall NOT have a Resurrection from the dead.

Then it's a simple matter of using your brain about what is said there. Even the wicked will have a resurrection from the dead, called the "resurrection of damnation". But not these giant-hybrids, because God did not create them. That confirms that these Rephaim who "shall not rise" are indeed hybrids and not just some idea of bullies.

Believe what you want, but I think when the time comes, and you are still here, you will remember what I showed you. No doubt God will cause you to remember that Rev.12 event that is for our near future.
Revelation 12 in Satan/Devil with his angels being cast out of heaven to earth, has been fulfilled long ago

1 Peter 5:8KJV
8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

But demons, familiar spirits, fallen angels (other than those of Gen.6), are all the same type of spirits. The fallen angels of Gen.6 are kept in Tartaroo (deepest part of the abyss) in chains, until the Great Day of God's Judgment (Jude 6).
Types of living, intelligent creatures consists of:
o. In heaven there are cherubim and angels (Satan is a cherub).
o. On earth there are animals and people.

"Demon, angel, spirit" are synonyms, they abide in heaven.

Satan (a cherub) and his angels were subsequently thrown to earth (Ezekiel 28:14-16, 1Peter 5:8).

It was Satan speaking through the serpent who deceived Eve (Revelation 20:2).

Adam is called son of God. Is Adam an angel?

Genesis 6:1-4, are these sons of God angels marrying women?

Who were the "sons of God" here...

Job 38:4-7
4 Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.
5 Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it?
6 Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof;
7 When the morning stars sang together,
and all the sons of God shouted for joy?
KJV

Job 1:6-7
6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them.
7 And the LORD said unto Satan, 'Whence comest thou?' Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, 'From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.'
KJV

o. Sons of God = beings, intelligent and created by God.
o. Those intelligent in heaven are angels and cherubim.
o. They shouted for joy when our universe was created (Job 38 :7 )
o. Those on earth are people.
o. "Earth" stems from Middle English erthe = "ground, soil."
That of course is error, because God's Word speaks of ONLY TWO different dimensions of existence, this earthly one we live in, and the Heavenly one where the abode of God and the angels is, which includes the abode of hell. Jesus showed this in Luke 16 with the story of Lazarus and the rich man. You both are only following an OLD JEWISH TRADITION.
Davy noted:
<abode of God...includes the abode of hell>

Bible noted:
Then I saw an angel coming *down from heaven,* holding in his hand the key of the *bottomless pit* and a great chain. And he seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the Devil and Satan, and threw him into the pit, and shut it and sealed it over him, that he should deceive the nations no more, until the thousand years were ended."

"Bottomless pit" = "deep hole in the earth," where Satan will reside for 1000 years, after the return of Jesus.

<"Sky" and "pit" seem to me like two different places.>
Sky is up, pit is down.

o. "Sons of God" (Job 38:7) = beings in heaven created by God.
o. These are angels and cherubim.
o. Our universe was created after they were created.
o. Plants and animals on our planet were created first.
o. Plants have a body.
o. Animals were created next.
o. Animals have a body and a soul=intelligence.
o. People in God's image were created next (Genesis 1:27).
o. "God's image = body, soul, spirit.
o. Spirit =communion with God.
o. Currently our spirits are dead due to sinful nature (Ephesians 2:1).

We lost our fellowship with God, but it will be restored. Sin corrupts the sinner and everything associated with him, hence this entire universe must be disposed and replaced (Revelation chapters 21,22).

Angels, cherubim, people were all created by God, hence all are sons/offspring of God in that respect.

Job 38:7 "sons of God" is angels and cherubim.

Those are wild assumptions, not Biblical. So here I go again...

1. Hebrews 4:12 reveals God made us with a spirit, and a soul, and flesh. Each part is a separate part.
2. Per Ecclesiastes 12:5-7, when our flesh body dies, it goes back to the earth where it came from. But our 'spirit' goes back to God Who gave it. This "spirit" of Eccl.12 is about our other body Apostle Paul taught that we also have, per 2 Corinthians 5. It is a spirit body, the "image of the heavenly" Paul also called it in 1 Corinthians 15:49.
3. Per Matthew 10:28, Jesus said to not fear those who can kill our flesh body, but not our soul. That means our 'soul' part continues on with our 'spirit' back to God also when our flesh body dies.
4. Per Matthew 10:28 also, Jesus said to fear The Father Who can destroy BOTH our spirit body and soul in the "lake of fire". Per Revelation 20 that event of destruction of one's soul in the "lake of fire" at the end of Christ's future "thousand years" reign is called the "second death".
5. Per Ecclesiastes 12:5-7, we are also shown about an invisible "silver cord" that keeps our "spirit" part attached to our flesh body. And that "silver cord" is loosed (i.e., severed) at flesh death, allowing the soul with spirit to go back to God. This reveals each part has a separateness, but the soul and spirit are linked together, and leave the flesh body together at flesh death.
Davy noted:
<destroy body and soul>

Someone who suffers that is dead and gone. But the Spirit remains.
At the last judgment anyone not in the book gets fried (Revelation 29:15).

Angels, cherubim, people were all created by God, hence all are sons/offspring of God in that respect.

Job 38:7 "sons of God" is angels and cherubim.

That's right, the "sons of God" there is put for angels. So are ALL... Old Testament cases of that phrase "sons of God", INCLUDING in the Genesis 6 Chapter about Noah's day.

Starting in John 1, those who have accepted Jesus Christ are now given the power to become the "sons of God". (John 1:12). How is that meant in contrast to the Old Testament angels as the "sons of God"?

Have you never read where Jesus said those of the resurrection are as the angels of God in Heaven?

Matt 22:29-30
29 Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.
30
For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.
KJV

You're not understanding what that "sons of God" title actually means. You are trying to treat it like a heavenly SPECIE being. That title simply is to point to the HEAVENLY STATE. That is why Lord Jesus continued to define it with the following...

Matt 22:31-32
31 But as touching the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God, saying,
32
"I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living."
KJV

Much easier than that. Ecclesiastes 12:5-7 reveals our flesh goes back to the earthly elements where it came from, but our spirit... goes back to God Who gave it. That is talking about TWO SEPARATE DIMENSIONS, the earthly one contrasted to the heavenly one.

Those who do not understand that we also have another body dwelling inside our flesh, a spirit body, do not really understand what heaven is actually about.
