What did Simon see in Acts 8:18? How did he see the Holy Ghost given?
what Simon saw was people speaking in other tongues, Look at the word "Matter" in v21, The Greek meanig for matter is, "Speach, dialect, utterance". It is the same as what we see in Acts 2: 1--13,They might have also been drunk in the Spirit the same as Acts 2: 15, and Ephesians 5: 18--20, They would have been full of joy, Romans 14: 17. Everyone who has been baptised in the Holy Ghost is full of joy, That is one of the reasons why we know the baptism in the Holy Ghost is a sepperate experience from the new birth.

This is how I am beginning to understand this as well. Just wondered what others understood.Never looked at the word matter, I will have to study that out. Thanks!

When I looked up matter it was logos, Acts is glossia. Isn't there a difference here?
