I'm assuming that you are making a play on words. OK.....but....why do you want to neutralize or negate such a prophetic statement and it's outcome?
Could it be the future scenario of Rev. 9:13-22, or 2 Thes. 1:7-10, as Luke 17:28-30 also describes it?

I think the woman and the child here represent those who are born of the Holy Spirit, yet the Holy Spirit is in travail—this is not a time for joy.

Thank you.....This is a prophecy of the "Day of the Lord" the Day of the Lord is considered not just one day but many days in which the Lord God Jehovah will judge the people, His enemies (unbelievers), deliver His people (Israel) to the land that He gave them and bring about the Millennium (1000 years of physical rule by Jesus Christ ).

Thus, in 1 Thes 5, Paul is speaking to believers in the Thessalonian church. He was speaking/prophecising about the time when the scripture of Rev 4 through 19 tells us the events that will happen to the dwellers of the earth.

My point, many are always trying to make phrases, words, etc. say things that God has not said. As 1 Thes 5:3 states, a false piece will be followed by a sudden destruction. In Rev 6, the judgements of the Scrolls, War War III comes upon mankind, Yes, it is a judgement of God and during this time period, more than 1.875 billion people will die. Is that sudden enough for Jesus tells us in Mat 24:22.."And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened." Yes, this seems to be a nuclear war between nations and kingdoms. Further down the road of time, the Trumpet Judgements will kill another 1/3 of the remaining population or another 1.873 billion people. This is based on the present population of 7.5 billion people worldwide. I doubt that it gets any small by the time the "Day of the Lord " gets here. These are told to us in no uncertain words, not symbols, not allegories,etc. just plain literal words of GOD.

Those that are besieged will be the Jews of Judah by the unbeliever armies of the world. (Isa 28:14-18). You need to read Rev 6:8.."And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth."

The fish of the seas have nothing to do with the scroll judgements.....don;t think these 7 years will be days of picnicking or swimming. Unbelievers, the earth dwellers along with 2/3 of the Jewish will also die during these seven years....

Then you do not believe in GOD's WORD.....?????The Bible tells you it will happen in Rev 6.

In context it says…..Vs 1-6….
”We don’t need to write to you about the timing and dates, brothers and sisters. You know very well that the day of the Lord is going to come like a thief in the night. When they are saying, “There is peace and security,” at that time sudden destruction will attack them, like labor pains start with a pregnant woman, and they definitely won’t escape. But you aren’t in darkness, brothers and sisters, so the day won’t catch you by surprise like a thief. All of you are children of light and children of the day. We don’t belong to night or darkness. So then, let’s not sleep like the others, but let’s stay awake and stay sober“(CEB)

Paul here indicates that there will be little or no time between the proclamation of “peace and security” and the destruction that will come upon those making that cry. It will be sudden and inescapable.…to emphasize the striking suddenness with which the destruction will come. A similar combination of terms appears at Luke 21:34 where the coming of God’s day of vengeance is described.

“just like birth pains on a pregnant woman”…Labor pains come suddenly; there is no way of foreknowing the exact day and hour. However, Paul’s metaphor stresses the suddenness and inevitability of the coming destruction. Once labor pains begin, a woman knows that an unstoppable process has begun.

“they will by no means escape”.….. but Paul here uses two negatives (lit., “not not escape”) to emphasize that it will be impossible for the wicked to escape the “sudden destruction” that will come “instantly on them.”

Time will tell when these things take place, but world events indicate that it is not far away….

In the Day of the Lord's return from heaven, it will be a simultaneous event, as Jesus Himself also stated in Luke 17:28-30.

[28] Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;
[29] But the  SAME [24 hr.] DAY that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.

Prophetically speaking, we could still be a few number of years away from the Lord's DAY of His Glorious return from heaven.

We all can realize this because the mark of the beast (MoB) has not yet been implemented yet, though in the world its course of action is being rapidly built on a global scale through Digital IDs and AI.

There will be a WW3 (Rev. 9:13-21), whereby 1/3 of the population in the Euphrates region shall BE DESTROYED IN ONE 24 HR. DAY ("a day, a month and a year" signifies a date in time).
Such a war will cause the present Global Economic System to collapse. Then shall they take action on the MoB, of which shall separate the sheep from the goats
