I don't think we are told. We are told that He "inhabits eternity" by Isaiah:Where did God dwell before he made the Three Heavens?
I am looking for a verse.
Let's see who has the answer.![]()

Four verses that speak of the heaven of heavensIn Spirit. However, the third heaven is heaven, the perfection of Christ.
What difference does it make?
How will knowing the answer help you?
So let's hear it.I can't speak for others, but for me it made a huge difference in how I understand God and the nature of reality. It answered so many questions I had. I am able to pass this wisdom to others.
If it's so important surely you need to share itI already know the answer. I'm curious if others know, or if they ever even had this question to begin with. I never see it taught.
Since it's a subject that God spent a good deal of time teaching in Scripture, to me it's a bit of a tragedy that Christians are oblivious to said teaching.
Something as important as to what existed before anything else is useful for debating those that believe nothing existed before the so called 'Big Bang'.
So let's hear it.
If it's so important surely you need to share it
I'm not sure there is an answer for us mere mortals. An infinite Being dwells where we cannot think or comprehend. We are wried to think of what is, and not what theoretically existed before us. We lack those categories.Where did God dwell before he made the Three Heavens?
I am looking for a verse.

1 Timothy 6:14-16 - "That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ: Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords; Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen."
John 1:1 - "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."
Hebrews 11:3 - "Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear."
Hebrews 12:29 - "For our God is a consuming fire."
There is no forth heaven. You are only speculating.I have a bit of time to expand on the OP.
Three Heavens:
Before I show the verses describing the place God dwells outside of the Three Heavens, I feel it is important to offer my opinion on what they are. The following is what the Bible describes:
The First Heaven is that which exists in between parallel universes. Most call it the Spirit Realm. John travelled to a parallel universe (New Heavens and New Earth) and back through a type of 'worm hole' or door in Heaven.
- First Heaven: Multiverse
- Second Heaven: Macrocosm
- Third Heaven: Microcosm
The Second Heaven is what Genesis calls the 'Firmament'. It is basically the universe, i.e., all of outer space (Macrocosm). The Firmament also comprises of earth's atmosphere. Most Christians make the mistake of separating space and atmosphere into two different Heavens. As a consequence, the actual Third Heaven is invisible to them.
The Third Heaven is the Kingdom of God Within. It is the Microcosm of Life. It is seed, human physiology, cell biology, DNA, etc. Scripture uses human physiology to help the student learn more about Heavenly concepts.
Now, whether we agree or disagree on what the Three Heavens are, it is obvious that they were all created at one point in time. Thus, there is another 'Sacred Space' that is missing from Christian teachings.
Here it is:
This Sacred Space that existed before the Three Heavens were created is described as a 'light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see'.
What this means is that neither John in Revelation or Paul went there. No man has gone there, or can go there, except Jesus.
Thus, if Jesus can go there, then that means there is *another* person, or persons, that are there to sort of 'merge' or be 'One' with. You all should know what that place is:
It is the Logos.
It is the place where the Father, Word and Holy Ghost are all One. The Three Heavens manifest from that place:
It is also a place of 'consuming fire':
Obviously, none of the Three Heavens are a 'consuming fire'. The Logos is a light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see. It is the 'invisible' face of God that will cause immediate death for all who see it... except the Trinity.
