Ms. Rivers' religion of choice was Judaism; and if you're a Christian reading
this I shouldn't have to tell you what that means.
†. John 14:6 . . I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to
the Father, but through me.
Heaven is sometimes depicted as the peak of a high mountain. All around
the base of the mountain are roads leading to the peak. But according to
Christ; only one road makes it up there; and all the other ones are dead ends
and cul-de-sacs.
Hell can be depicted as a vast pit, deep and wide, with many roads around
the edge leading to the bottom. According to Christ, every one of those
roads make it down there.
What Is Joan Rivers Thinking Right Now?
If Christians can safely assume the worst; then it is very easy to guess what
Joan Rivers might be thinking right now because she left behind a daughter
for whom she cared a great deal.
†. Luke 16:27-28 . . And the rich man said: I beg you, Father, that you send
Lazarus to my father's house-- for I have five brothers --that he may warn
them, lest they also come to this place of torment.
I should think that one of the pains of hell is the agonizing anxiety that
departed relatives feel for their families; having no way to contact them and
let them know where they are and/or how they're doing.
Here's a cute story I heard once. I don't know if it's true; but I guess it
could be.
A boozing farmer went out to his barn in the dead of night after a snowfall to
sneak a pull from his liquor bottle. Just as he got to the barn door he heard
something behind him. Turning, the farmer recognized his little boy coming
towards him. In amazement he asked the little guy how he ever managed to
find his way out to the barn in the dark. His son replied: It was easy; I
walked in your footsteps.
Melissa Rivers' religion of choice is Judaism; the same as her mother's.
