Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.Revelation 16:15 Are you watching for Jesus? Are you seeking The Holy Spirit diligently? Jesus is coming soon and suddenly. Will He find faith in you? Will you be walking after the commandments of men or of God? This message implies that we should keep our shame covered and our garments unspotted. How do we do this? We seek the blood of The Lamb which is a free gift given freely to all men. Simply put we lay all things at the feet of Jesus with faith and we shall receive all we ask, even the forgiveness of sins. But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins This instructs us to pray in secret. Prayers done in secret will be rewarded. When you ask for forgiveness you should pray in secret. We now have two verses that imply this. Take a look at the verse on top. Who can cleanse our garments but Jesus. We have been given The Gospel and now we are expected to keep it. I believe "they" are the enemy, whether they be the neighbor we sin with daily who sees our naked souls through the abundance of our mouth, or the tickers that counted all the tivos that went crazy during the nudity event at the super bowl. We broadcast our shame to men in closeted spaces who are allowed to stir passions with their questions, that shouldn't be asked. Not to mention their own by the hearing of such things as ought not be uttered. Even thatmakes us naked. Naked because our sins go unforgiven. Therefore many are naked and know it not. Why is this some may ask. It's because we neglected to take our concerns straight to the Holiest of Holies Jesus Christ, but denying His power as God use men to intercede as if they are anymore needed. Men are full of sin and Jesus is the only fit priest for any of us. This is Truth. If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vainAnd the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire ofAnd the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire ofNeither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.See from the verses above alone how we are better off to be silent unless it's strictly to God's glory. Taming the tounge is certainly worthy spiritual exercise that I myself practice. We all have the power to come boldly before the throne of God in Jesus Christ. For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. For every high priest taken from among men is ordained for men in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins:Who can have compassion on the ignorant, and on them that are out of the way; for that he himself also is compassed with infirmity. This say Jesus is our priest and to Him we take our sins in secret and Him alone because man is sinful and in need of help, not able to help. What is our profession?Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent. For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister. They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate. Who are they? What do you think? Who are they has Jesus spoke the meaning of this verse to you?
