I follow it out this way

Dan 9:26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but NOT FOR himself

Jesus said

John 16:17 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient FOR YOU that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.

Jesus going away

I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.

We know,

James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights,
with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

The promise of my Father

Luke 24:49 And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem,
until ye be endued with power from on high.

John 15:26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you FROM the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which PROCEEDETH FROM the Father, he shall testify of me:

Acts 2:33 Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and HAVING RECEIVED OF the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, HE hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.

Psalm 68:18 Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led captivity captive: thou hast RECEIVED GIFTS FOR men;
yea, for the rebellious also, that the LORD God might dwell among them.

This way in Acts

Ephesian 4:8 Wherefore he saith, WHEN he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, AND GAVE GIFTS unto men.

And these in turn laids their hands on them and the Holy Ghost was given by the laying on their hands

Acts 8:17 Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost.

When Jesus went away, He was crucified, dead and buried. God the Father raised Him from the dead and He visited with the people again showing Himself alive and the marks of His death.

Christ then ascends after a number of days, And as He said He would not leave them comfortless, God afterwards sent to the people of God His Holy Spirit to live within them, He then dwells with His people, and we have the inner witness of the Spirit everyday that we are the people of God.

Because of this we are now the temple of God.
Being born of God, born of His Spirit made alive on the inside.

The Promise of the Holy Spirit

37 On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. 38 He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” 39 But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those [g]believing in Him would receive; for the [h]Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.

Who Is He?

40 Therefore [i]many from the crowd, when they heard this saying, said, “Truly this is the Prophet.” 41 Others said, “This is the Christ.”

Thanks in advance.

Perhaps you are familiar with the passage: "However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural, and afterward the spiritual" (1 Corinthians 15:46).

The flesh is a seedbed for the spirit of God to multiply. Christ was the "firstfruits" of the spirit to come forth from the field of the earth, only made possible by his dying in the flesh and then ascending in spirit. He overcame the condemnation of the world and thus was able to plant for a spiritual harvest.

Hello to the original poster,

Because sin needed to be taken care of first. That is what I believe about the topic.

Also, can it be considered that Jesus did not know every single detail and aspect of Gods plan, he could do nothing nor have any knowledge of anything whatsoever unless he was given specific knowledge from the Spirit Of Holy, The Father ....

Joh 5:19 ............. The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son - likewise - similarly - the same

:20 For the Father . sheweth him all things that himself doeth:

would this be saying that Jesus was only able to explain and comprehend and perform the will of the Father based upon the limited knowledge that he received.

The Comforter was Jesus himself whom preceded out from God as someone had mentioned that

sin needed to be taken care of first

Jesus left the earth and the physical realm of his body that was created in the likeness of sinful flesh and he would returned back to earth in spirit form - from the Father from whom he came out of

Joh 14:18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

Jesus was fully submitted to doing the Father's will, not His own.
He always points the way to the Father, and the way to the Father is only through Him.
Jesus is a good example of how we should walk out our faith
Jesus chose to come to earth, He and the Father always are in agreement.

John 4
19 The woman said to Him, “Sir, I perceive that You are a prophet. 20 Our fathers worshiped on this mountain, and you Jews say that in Jerusalem is the place where one ought to worship.”

21 Jesus said to her, “Woman, believe Me, the hour is coming when you will neither on this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, worship the Father. 22 You worship what you do not know; we know what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews. 23 But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. 24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”

25 The woman said to Him, “I know that Messiah is coming” (who is called Christ). “When He comes, He will tell us all things.”

26 Jesus said to her, “I who speak to you am He.”

The Whitened Harvest

27 And at this point His disciples came, and they marveled that He talked with a woman; yet no one said, “What do You seek?” or, “Why are You talking with her?”

28 The woman then left her waterpot, went her way into the city, and said to the men, 29 “Come, see a Man who told me all things that I ever did. Could this be the Christ?” 30 Then they went out of the city and came to Him.

31 In the meantime His disciples urged Him, saying, “Rabbi, eat.”

32 But He said to them, “I have food to eat of which you do not know.”

33 Therefore the disciples said to one another, “Has anyone brought Him anything to eat?”

34 Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work. 35 Do you not say, ‘There are still four months and then comes the harvest’? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest! 36 And he who reaps receives wages, and gathers fruit for eternal life, that both he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together. 37 For in this the saying is true: ‘One sows and another reaps.’ 38 I sent you to reap that for which you have not labored; others have labored, and you have entered into their labors.”

The Savior of the World

39 And many of the Samaritans of that city believed in Him because of the word of the woman who testified, “He told me all that I ever did.” 40 So when the Samaritans had come to Him, they urged Him to stay with them; and He stayed there two days. 41 And many more believed because of His own word.

42 Then they said to the woman, “Now we believe, not because of what you said, for we ourselves have heard Him and we know that this is indeed [a]the Christ, the Savior of the world.”

Jesus could not send the Holy Spirit until He had ascended was because Christ is in us now.

Galatians 2:20- I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

Ephesians 3:20 -Now to Him (Jesus) who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,

And we are joined as one spirit with Him

1 Corinthians 6
15 Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and make them members of a harlot? Certainly not!

16 Or do you not know that he who is joined to a harlot is one body with her? For “the two,” He says, “shall become one flesh.”

17 But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.

Colossians 3
Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. 3 For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ, who is your[a] life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.

5 Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. 6 Because of these, the wrath of God is coming.[b] 7 You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived. 8 But now you must also rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips. 9 Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices 10 and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator. 11 Here there is no Gentile or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all.

12 Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. 13 Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. 14 And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.

15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. 16 Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. 17 And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

Jesus must leave the physical in order that He might baptise us with the Holy Spirit and live in us . The Holy Spirit is the spirit of Christ and thus we are the temple of the Holy Spirit who abides in us, and we become a NEW creation upon the earth. We must stirve to understand, through our fellowship with the Holy Spirit, who we are in Christ Jesus.

Thanks in advance.
2 Cor 3: 12Therefore having such a hope, we use great boldness in our speech, 13and are not like Moses, who used to put a veil over his face so that the sons of Israel would not look intently at the end of what was fading away. 14But their minds were hardened; for until this very day at the reading of the old covenant the same veil remains unlifted, because it is removed in Christ. 15But to this day whenever Moses is read, a veil lies over their heart; 16but whenever a person turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. 17Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. 18But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.

Romans 8: 9However, you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him. 10If Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, yet the spirit is alive because of righteousness. 11But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.

The Holy Spirit moves through the Word of God; if you open a Door in the middle of the Word, the Holy Spirit is patient enough to wait - until the Door is closed again (so that He can continue to move).

On the other hand, if you remove the Door, the Holy Spirit overflows - because it has nowhere else to go.

Why did Jesus say that "He (Holy Spirit) won't come unless I leave"?

Because Jesus (the only eyewitness of the Father) was a hands on revelation of the character of the Father. The Spirit thereon after was to point us back to Jesus.

John 16:13-15
'But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. He will glorify me because it is from me that he will receive what he will make known to you. All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will receive from me what he will make known to you.”
