Well, that is a fascinating statement by you considering Jesus started The Church of which, by your own admittance, you dont belong to. If a 1st century Christian would have told the apostles “I like to think for myself” I wonder what the Apostles would have told them? Oh wait…..we already know: Matthew 18:17

Furthermore your twisting of Matthew 23:10 is dangerous. You can’t find anywhere in the NT where it says that people other than Jesus was a teacher? Or do you skip over those passages since they don’t fit what YOU believe?

LOL….And Scripture does not support “organized religion”?

    Oh wait….it does: Hebrews 13:17 2 Timothy 2:2 1 Corinthians 12:28

Now I could go on and on with more passages from Scripture that teach opposite of what you believe….but why waste my time.

That happens the moment a person believes and is born again. A born again person, who already possesses the life that the blood and the body of Christ provides, does not need to attempt to gain a life he thinks he gets from bread and wine that he already has as a born again person. I mean, that's why he is born again. He already has that life in him. That's what makes him born again. Bread and wine adds NOTHING toward that.

Lol….do you even know the purpose of the Crusades? You do know your own Christian history….Don’t you? If you did you would be thanking The Church for leading the Crusades! If it wasn’t for the glories crusades we would all be Muslim.

    Who is "your men", lol????

A born again person who ALREADY has the life of the sacrifice in him does not need to eat bread and wine to get the life of Christ he ALREADY has in him. See, Catholics aren't saved yet. Non-Catholics are because we know that the born again believer ALREADY has the life of Christ in him. The bread and the wine/juice are just symbols through which we celebrate and commemorate what we born again people ALREADY have. It is commanded to observe that commemoration. That's why non-Catholics do it. Not like Catholics who do it because they don't have the life of Jesus in them already and think they get it by eating bread and wine.

    Hold on HOLD ON Ferries

Your men have taught you that “the moment a person believes and is born again” equates to eating His body and blood? Is that what you are saying? I don’t want to put words in your mouth so that is why I am asking for clarification…….

I don’t know who your men are Ferris. I don’t know if you belong to Joes bible only church in Anytown USA with 50 members or if you belong to a denomination that has hundreds of thousands of members. None the less someone has taught you all these teachings you are writing on this website….that us unless you are self taught?

Ok….Defy His commandment to eat bread and drink wine in remembrance of Him. Defy his commandment that you MUST eat His body and drink his blood. Tell Paul that you are not participating in the body and blood of Christ and that he was wrong when he said that consuming wine/bread IS a participation in His body/blood. Tell Jesus he was lying when he said this IS my body/blood. You say it’s a symbol Jesus said it IS his body/blood.

I believe Jesus and Paul and not the men who have taught you.

1- Catholics might need that Pope bloke to tell them what to think but I'll string with Jesus instead..:)
2- Jesus was THE teacher, and other teachers simply passed on his message..:)

As long as religion is organised to simply pass on Jesus's teachings that's fine, but far too many sects and cults are cuckoo's nests because they've introduced their own wacky ideas and like to think they know more than the rest of us poor schmucks..:)

Your ignorance of the Catholic faith shows.

    1. the Pope does not tell us what to think.
    2. Has the message you are getting from your teachers been faithfully passed down for 2,000 years?

Britain stood alone for two years, Adolf never dared try to send his troops across the channel, but sent them against the awesome might of Russia instead because he thought they were a softer target..:)
Then he goofed bigtime after Pearl Harbor by signing his own death warrant by declaring war on America to show his solidarity with the Japs, which brought down the full fury of Uncle Sam on himself..:)
Mind you, if America hadn't entered the war, he'd have been free to develop an atom bomb and build planes to carry it to New York-

Why can't you understand symbolism? Jesus (the actual living person, in the flesh) was reclining at the Passover table with His disciples. He passed the unleavened bread around and told them to eat it and He passed around the wine goblet and told them to drink it. He said that they should continue to do these things to remember Him. Now, how could the bread and wine be His actual body and blood if He is there with them handing it to them??? It is purely symbolic!
