Its worse than i thought . That fellow is quadrupling down with man made examples to justify
a doctrine that men ought never to have taught . That doctrine
has and did destroy a lot of churches in china . a few pastors wept huge about it too .
As in THEIR OWN words , We had not prepared our people for tribulation
but had sold them the idea we are getting out
of here before it gets bad . david , I seen these repentant pastors WEEPING over this years later .
BUT Darn sure aint gonna be going down that road again . They learned and repented .

The Great Tribulation​

What was the precedent?

You can't put the Holy Spirit in a box.

What I notice is a lack of formulaic treatment of the baptism with the Holy Spirit.
- At Pentecost it came unannounced. The new believers were water baptized to receive the Spirit.
- In Samaria the baptized believers did NOT receive the Holy Spirit until the Apostles laid hands on them.
- At the house of Cornelius the Spirit came on the gentiles while Peter was still preaching. Then they were water baptized.
- At Ephesus Paul found some disciples of Apollos that had not received the Spirit. He had them water baptized in Jesus' name
and then laid hands on them and they received the Spirit.

The Jews and Samaritans had been hostile towards each other for generations and the laying on of hands by the apostles would authenticate God's purpose and promote church unity.

I can easily defend the pretrib rapture.

Its because God does not give His Holy Spirit to you, simply because you are water baptized in Jesus Name., as that is just a ceremony.

God also also wont give you the Holy Spirit if you "take communion" as this is the same thing.....

God gives His Holy Spirit to you, ONLY when you have "BELIEVED with all your heart"., as then your "FAITH is counted by God as (Christ's) Righteousness".

So.....This is why you can become a born again Christian, and are indwelt with the Holy Spirit, and are never water baptized later and never take The Communion your entire life.

See, Water Baptism and The Communion are not required for Salvation,.. .Reader, exactly as doing works, keeping commandments, and trying to be like Christ, wont save you.

What is requried by God..........so that once you do it, He'll SAVE YOU, and Give you His Holy Spirit ? ????????????

"ALL WHO BELIEVE in Jesus, shall be saved".........and you have to BELIEVE before you die, as you can't be born again in Hell.

Its because "the Spirit beareth witness that we are the Children of God"..

This is how i can tell that Im dealing with a born again Christian on a Forum, or in Life, vs someone who isn't and is pretending.

So, as the Apostles were perhaps the most "senstitive to the spirit"...... at that time......they innately knew who was religious, who was a disciple of Christ...... but not yet "spirit filled".... not yet born.....again.

2) Why did they Holy Spirit fall spontaneously on the gentiles at the house of Cornelius while Peter was still preaching?

Its becasue anytime Paul's Gospel is "preached" that is "the Preaching of The Cross",.. then the Holy Spirit is going to intervene on behalf of anyone who BELIEVES.........so, He "falls on them"....>He "quickens them".. He gives them the "new Birth".
