He sure is vague for someone who was on his way to Hell, Too bad he wasn't specific about how to serve Jesus in a perfect manner - instead all he did was warn people about displeasing Him. Fearing Jesus? How can you love someone you fear?

Hello aspen2, I was thinking about Proverbs 1:7 and Psalm 111:10 where it says " The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge..." and "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom..." This is a reverential fear unlike a scary fear where we are afraid something or someone might do us harm.

hi, thanks for the replies, agree, he was some what vague, but then I listened to some of his other videos and he explained more, such as, even though he was doing "Christian things" deep in his heart it was not for the Lord, but to receive respect, and self righteousness.

He seems so sincere in wanting to warn other Christians, that you can not just believe in Jesus, but we must serve Him as Lord and Savior. The Once Saved Always Saved doctrine will lead people straight to hell. A good of example of being removed from the book of life is in Rev. 3:

" "To the angel of the Messianic Community in Sardis, write:

'Here is the message from the one who has the sevenfold Spirit of God and the seven stars: "I know what you are doing - you have a reputation for being alive, but in fact you are dead!

2 Wake up, and strengthen what remains, before it dies too! For I have found what you are doing incomplete in the sight of my God. 3 So remember what you received and heard, and obey it, and turn from your sin! For if you don't wake up, I will come like a thief; and you don't know at what moment I will come upon you.

4 Nevertheless, you do have a few people in Sardis who have not soiled their clothes; and they will walk with me, clothed in white, because they are worthy. 5 He who wins the victory will, like them, be dressed in white clothing; and I will not blot his name out of the Book of Life; in fact, I will acknowledge him individually before my Father and before his angels

PS: can anyone tell me why I do not receive emails about the replies I get?

Fear it that context means 'wonder, awe' not terror.

Yeah....still not specific. This is not just his problem - many Christians do the same thing. Even many fire and brimstone pastors who rail on their congregations use a lot of jargon and not specific phrases - they may be yelling and jumping up and down or sounding sincere, but they are not telling us how to do any of the things they are demanding that we do.

'Stop sinning!!!!' - great! How can I do that so Jesus will be happy?
'Leave it at the foot of the Cross!' - What? How?
'Obey God' - Ok - how and in which ways - what does that mean in my own life?
'Being a Christian is not enough!!' - So.....what am I supposed to do to become a Christian that makes God happy?

Then there are the contradictions from the pulpit:

'You are not sincere enough in your faith!' So what should I do....'Stop trying to work for your salvation!' Rock meet hard place.

'If you do not believe such-and-such doctrine, you are not being a real Christian' vs. 'faith in Jesus and His death and resurrection makes you a real Christian'

'The sum of the Law is Love' vs. 'Love is weak - only hippies talk about love'

Yes, I know but I thought you were the one referring to terror in your post.

I was because the guy on the utube clip was talking about how he now fears God - it sounded like he was talking about terror.

Worse than vague (my opinion)

Describing his former life he used all the common catch phrases:
-following Jesus
-working for the kingdom
-serving the Lord

Now he says he is :
-following Jesus
-working for the kingdom
-serving the Lord

He should be more specific.
thanks

Sonething does not compute.

Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
(Joh 3:18)

Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.
(Joh 5:24)

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand.
(Joh 10:27-29)

There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
(Rom 8:1)

And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.
(Php 1:6)

Well maybr he wasn't truly regenerate to begin with.

I think most Christians do not go with the Lord, as you have to strive to enter by the narrow gate and what about selling every thing and follow the Lord only that rich man could not do it.
There are sheep and the goats ?

I had the same question as you, so I started praying and asking the Holy Spirit to reveal this to me. I started with the gospel, and moved straight through to Revelation, with a journal by my side I wrote down all the scripture teaching me what Jesus expects of me as His disciple. IT WAS AN AWAKING OF THE SPIRIT

Remember even Satan believes, we are to have faith, and submit all area's of our lives to Christ, to pick up His cross.

If we are focused on the Spirit and not the flesh, when we sin our hearts will be opened to the discipline of the Spirit, if we keep sinning, even after many warnings of the Spirit, your heart may become hardened to the Holy Spirit and your name could be erased from the book of life.

God is filled with much grace and mercy, and like the church below Jesus would warn you, and give you time to repent.

Rev. 3

what I posted wasn't helpful? I provided a video, and gave my own testimony on how the Holy Spirit will teach you how to "follow the Lord" while you read the bible.
