The loss of life is staggering. I once, while I was off my psych meds forgot I had oil on the stove. When I heard the smoke alarm go off in the building I was forced to enter while holding my breath and try to make my way to the stove to shut off the heat. The room was impossible to see as it was so thick with oil smoke. At any point the smoke could have ignited. But I made it just barely. I think I came close to dying. I couldn't inhale as the smoke was too hot. And my eyes were burning really bad.

So I feel sorry for those that have died in the fires. What a terrible way to go. Prayers for them and their families.
