In my experience, both sexes are prone to bad driving due to emotions - but not equally. Women tend to be erratic from more frequently due to anxiety of traffic, weather, construction, etc. However, men often drive way more aggressively.

Therefore, if statistics are available, women‘s driving may reflect quick lane changes in fidgeting in one lane. Not sure how likely that leads to accidents. Men, on the other hand statistics are bound to show are much more prone to high speed crashes.

How many women have won the F1 title?
None. The competition is open to women and there have been female drivers in the past.
Men are just better drivers.

I'm sorry ladies, I love you but it's true.
There is a reason why a woman has never won the F1 championship
You can't base anything on that. More men like to drive with a heavy foot. It's more about preferences and interests where that is concerned.

There are more licensed female drivers in the U.S. than male drivers. But men nonetheless drive far more than women each year.

A disproportionate share of fatal traffic accidents involves male drivers, particularly when speeding or alcohol use is a contributing factor. Overall, male drivers were involved in over 72% of fatal car accidents in the U.S. in 2023.

Key insights
Licensed female drivers have outnumbered their male counterparts since 2005. In 2022, there were just under 119 million licensed female drivers and over 116 million licensed male drivers.

On average, men drive about 16,550 miles and women around 10,142 per year, which is 39% fewer miles than men.

In 2021, men purchased more new cars than women. However, women held a slight majority of used car purchases.

Male drivers account for about 72% of fatal car crashes in the U.S. Also, they are far more likely to be drivers in fatal crashes that involve speeding or alcohol use than women.

Although you didn't cite the source, that statistic matches my experience.

Another good statistic.

I forget the source but someone analyzed IQ of men and women and found a similar conclusion to driving. While the average is about the same, women are more consistently in the middle. Variation is found in men; the best and worst dominated by men. Men dominate the board room and prison.

You can base it on that if your talking about skill. Men tend to be more skilled at driving. We see that in all forms of motorsports.

If you want to talk about safety than that's different. I'm was talking about skill

Is this opinion based solely on Danica Patrick? :funlaugh2

No, my original comment was that no woman has ever won the title in F1.
I didn't even know who Danica Patrick was until I looked her up.
My opinion is based on all forms of motor sport. It's all dominated by men. That's why I say men are more skilled drivers.

You're welcome to your opinion. But it's a poor assessment, imo, to base the analysis on who dominates motorsports. Men are more geared toward fast driving. Women have other priorities and interests. When I drive my car, my gas milage stays up around 40.3mpg. If he drives it, the mpg drops to 39.5 in one day. It's just a difference in a desire for speed. I think it takes way more skill to get a car that the manufacturer says gets 35mpg to average 40.3mpg. That's bc of the way I intentionally drive my car. My husband and my mechanic (a long time family friend) both will bring that average way down if they are behind the wheel. lol

That's because their more skilled than you, they have better throttle control.
Women might be safer drivers but men are more skilled, motorsports proves that

So in your opinion, it takes skill to crash a car, and waste gas. Got it. Your logic is skewed. LOL

This thread is less about facts and more about men stroking their weak little egos. Carry on. clfh

better throttle control.
Better throttle control should lend to a higher average gas mileage so this is puzzling. lol

It's obvious that I have much better throttle control than either my husband or my mechanic, being that I'm an intentional driver with much higher gas economy.
