Here's a list of Communist goals that 1950's FBI agent Cleon Skousen listed in his 1958 book The Naked Communist. The list of goals was entered into the U.S. Congressional Record by Florida Congressman A.S. Herlong Jr. in 1963.
The question is, do they reveal the working of Communism still today, showing that the cold war did not really end?

The ACLU just issued a threat to public education heads in the state of Tennessee a couple weeks ago about allowing Christmas celebration in the schools. Instead, the First Amendment does not allow government to make any law establishing religion, nor can it to prohibit the free expression of religion. The kids in the schools can celebrate Christmas there if they want per the law.

Last couple of times I checked it out, the number of fiction books involving murder and horror stories way outnumbered useful works beneficial to a moral society. Editorial writing is about a magazine or newspaper's opinion, not necessarily about reality. The aim is to INFLUENCE PUBLIC OPINION. Sadly, a lot of people simply do not think for theirself. They go out and form opinions only based on the opinion's of others. The public opinion Communist subversives well know that, and use it against Americans. 18. Gain control of all student newspapers.
Who really knew just where the attack upon our public schools was coming from all along? Amazing that Communists would go to that level isn't it? No it's not amazing, for Marxist philosophy declared early on how getting ahold of young minds is an important cog in their works towards one-world Communist Socialism. Even with some here on this Forum one can see how they've been brainwashed by Communist's lies into thinking it can be a good thing if properly done.
19. Use student riots to foment public protests against programs or organizations which are under Communist attack.
This was especially done during the Vietnam war era. It's still in operation today, especially in U.S. universities. Get hold of the mind, and their fanny will follow.
20. Infiltrate the press. Get control of book-review assignments, editorial writing, policymaking positions.
What true American has not suspected this one? It's specific though. Book-reviews TELL the American public what's good to buy for reading. Might want to take a strong look at propaganda like the New York Times Bestseller lists. Last couple of times I checked it out, the number of fiction books involving murder and horror stories way outnumbered useful works beneficial to a moral society. Editorial writing is about a magazine or newspaper's opinion, not necessarily about reality. The aim is to INFLUENCE PUBLIC OPINION. Sadly, a lot of people simply do not think for theirself. They go out and form opinions only based on the opinion's of others. The public opinion Communist subversives well know that, and use it against Americans. Their aim to get ahold of policy-making positions in society should be obvious.
21. Gain control of key positions in radio, TV, and motion pictures.
Once again, what true American doesn't realize this strategy by Communists? This was 1958 remember? What about today? How many movies today suggest that Communism is NOT dead today? If you find a big hollywood movie that does suggest that, let me know.
22. Continue discrediting American culture by degrading all forms of artistic expression. An American Communist cell was told to "eliminate all good sculpture from parks and buildings, substitute shapeless, awkward and meaningless forms."
Did you know that's about the idea of art? Did anyone ever think how Communists would try to use modern Abstract art to replace portraits and sculptures of American heroes that promote American values of honor and family? Shouldn't be difficult to figure out why some art critics would favor a shapeless, meaningless form of art over one that promotes moral values. They'd allow phallus art right on the front lawns of kindergaten schools if the American public would allow it. "But this is an important work of art, it's simply in the Abstract style," they'd probably say.

23. Control art critics and directors of art museums. "Our plan is to promote ugliness, repulsive, meaningless art."
There it is; the avant-gard art critics. Render some nudes and pour buckets of different colors of paint over it and call it art, then promite it as a high-valued investment. What a joke. (I was originally an art major in college by the way, so I’m not ignorant of the subject.)
24. Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them "censorship" and a violation of free speech and free press.
There’s the origins of pushing pornography in the West. Strange that Adam Weishaupt’s Bavarian Illuminati had that goal in the 1700’s too. Communist Socialism is not just about an attack of missles and tanks. It’s especially an attack upon society’s moral values and nature itself, all for the purpose to overthrow their target. The Bavarian Illuminati had the same strategies as Skousen listed here in his 1958 work (See John Robison’s work Proofs Of A Conspiracy written in 1798 about the Illuminati’s goals).
25. Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio, and TV.
Now radio broadcasters are allowed cuss on the airwaves, pushing the lie to our young children that’s it’s OK. Just think, everytime you support those things above, it’s actual goal is for the purpose of destroying the morality of our society, throwing people into rebellion against God.
26. Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as "normal, natural, healthy."

27. Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with "social" religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity which does not need a "religious crutch."
What have I been saying about the philosophy of Socialism brethren? Bet you didn’t figure what the purpose of Socialism in the Churches today was about. 1958 Communist strategy for the Churches, who would have thunk it! Revealed Christian religion only comes directly from God in His Word The Bible, not from Socialist published tracts written for the preachers to give their sermons from. Even the Communists well know that “revealed religion” from The Bible itself is a block to their strategy, even if some brethren on the Socialist boat don’t know that!
28. Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the grounds that it violates the principle of "separation of church and state."

29. Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old-fashioned, out of step with modern needs, a hindrance to cooperation between nations on a worldwide basis.

30. Discredit the American Founding Fathers. Present them as selfish aristocrats who had no concern for the "common man."
Once again, next time you hear someone stress how the U.S. founding fathers were decrepid immoral men, you should realize that’s nothing but an attempt to defame the writings of the founding documents they produced, like the U.S. Constitution, the Bill of Rights, the Declaration of Independence, etc. Only One Perfect Man ever came in the flesh, our Lord Jesus Christ. The U.S. founding fathers weren’t perfect and had faults as all men, except our Lord Jesus.
31. Belittle all forms of American culture and discourage the teaching of American history on the grounds that it was only a minor part of the "big picture." Give more emphasis to Russian history since the Communists took over.
Is it no wonder so many Americans don’t know much of our nation’s history, especially its Christian foundations? Christianity WAS the main American Culture in the founding days of the United States, and for many, many years thereafter. Russia prior to its Communist takeover, was a Christian State also! The royal families of Russia WERE Christians!!! That’s why the Communists murdered Czar Nicholas II and Alexandria at the 1917 Communist takeover of Russia. Nicholas II and Alexandria were kin to the royal families of Europe, even to Queen Victoria of England. Our Heavenly Father isn’t going to forget that either, when the time will come when He will destroy Communism and those behind it.
32. Support any socialist movement to give centralized control over any part of the culture -- education, social agencies, welfare programs, mental health clinics, etc.
Communism IS Socialism. Some poor deceived souls try to fool us in trying to separate the two ideas from each other, when they both go hand-in-hand, and cannot be separated. Communism won’t work without Socialism, and visa versa. They’re both the same idealism. Why Communist would want support for mental health clinics will become obvious with a later 1958 stragety goal further below.
33. Eliminate all laws or procedures which interfere with the operation of the Communist apparatus.
That strategy by Communism should be well obvious. But is it still in operation today? Think about it, for it is.
34. Eliminate the House Committee on Un-American Activities.
I don’t know exactly when that Committee officialy ended, but it is no more today. And it really has not been replaced with anything better. The Communists in the media and hidden within the U.S. state department saw to its ending not long after the American senator and hero Joseph McCarthy was demonized by them in the 1950’s. McCarthy has since been exonerated by facts in the declassified Venona Project KGB files.
35. Discredit and eventually dismantle the FBI.
Communists have done some discrediting of the FBI, but they’ve yet to dismantle it today. They defamed Hoover’s era greatly.
36. Infiltrate and gain control of more unions.
I’m not totally against the idea of trade unionws. But I am totally against the use of unions for subversive means. Communist infiltration should never be allowed within any American union, because what better way to subvert industry and the American economy? Note this says, “gain control of MORE unions”. Skousen was admitting in 1958 that Communism already had control of ‘some’ unions in America. Something to think about.
37. Infiltrate and gain control of big business.
Control of BIG business, not Ma and Pa Kettle. In a Communist controlled state, all big business is controled by the state apparatus.
38. Transfer some of the powers of arrest from the police to social agencies. Treat all behavioral problems as psychiatric disorders which no one but psychiatrists can understand (or treat).
There’s the inroad to psycho drugs being almost freely prescribed to many Americans today. Even some drugs a doctor prescribes to help stop smoking can cause psychosomatic tendencies; even suicidal tendencies AS WARNED ON THE PACKAGE! The Bible calls that working sorcery. That’s the word pharmakatos in the Greek of Rev.9:21 and 18:23. Sorcery is the usage of drugs to creat altered mind states. Next time a doctor prescribes psycho drugs for your children think about that. (I’m not speaking of all cases though, use common sense and discretion).
39. Dominate the psychiatric profession and use mental health laws as a means of gaining coercive control over those who oppose Communist goals.
A 1958 Communist strategy goal. That false working has really taken off in the West today.
40. Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce.
The reason Communism uses that is because it’s simply another way to break down society and create rebellion to make their takeover easier. Because of how Communist strategy violates so many forms of human nature in God’s creation, I don’t see how any Communist is going to make it into Christ’s future reign on earth when He returns. Good thing that only Christ has that Power to judge to condemnation, we don’t.
41. Emphasize the need to raise children away from the negative influence of parents. Attribute prejudices, mental blocks and retarding of children to suppressive influence of parents.
During the Bush administration, the suggestion then came out to start Federal kindergatens for ages up to 3 (?) years old, and then they’d revert to the public education system. Home schooling is a counter to all that, and is still a U.S. citizen right, but not in some European countries that have listened to the Communists.
42. Create the impression that violence and insurrection are legitimate aspects of the American tradition; that students and special-interest groups should rise up and use united force to solve economic, political or social problems.
Communist taught rebellion, pure and simple. “What are you rebelling against?” says the law-abiding citizen. “What da ya got?”, says the rebel who is just so cool! NOT!!!
43. Overthrow all colonial governments before native populations are ready for self-government.
In other words, get control of the poorer nations that are just beginning to learn how to fend for themselves as free independent democratic states that ask from help from the Christian West. South Vietnam was in that situation, and asked help from the West when Communists were really pressing to take all of Vietnam. Look at a poorer nation today that is on the verge of self-independence, and you’ll eventually see Communist infiltrations and influence to try to take it over.
44. Internationalize the Panama Canal.
Does anyone not know how this happened under Bill Clinton’s watch during his last term as president? I remember how Congress was set towards the end of December to finalize whether to do it or not. Clinton had the time moved up quickly in December with a small group and got it passed before that could happen. Clinton even made a slip-up in a news review to show his support of giving our Panama Canal to Communist control! He said he thought Red China would do an excellent job running the canal. It was later discovered the company brought in to run it was a front company of Communist Red China. They got it now.
45. Repeal the Connally reservation so the United States cannot prevent the World Court from seizing jurisdiction over domestic problems. Give the World Court jurisdiction over nations and individuals alike.
I haven’t researched this Connally reservation. Maybe some could help with that. But the idea of a World Court to do away with our protections under the U.S. Constitution, that’s been a major work of only the past few decades, and is a major working today.
