I find this to be very common, that someone will be willing to overlook the plain reading of a passage in order to harmonize it with their understanding, rather than to change their understanding so they don't have to change the Scriptures.
But it will not lead you to truth. Even if you laugh about it.

I didn't want to discuss it further hence the laughing face. It will go nowhere, obviously. You see it your way and I see it as harmonious. We have a very fundamental difference between the way we see how a believer is to live afterwards, apparently. Which is why you cant harmonize Jesus with Paul.
You may have the last word if you choose.
How would the other picture being saying otherwise?
I also think you missed that I said, " I was always curious whether..."
Given how we've not discussed this, that would be your assumption. But if you mean I'm not under the Law, you'd be correct about me on that.
