And you thought you had it bad in life.
Maybe $600 would free them from this.
I feel bad for the innocent people forced to such cruel labor.

But it must be said, Pakistan is a country that has sponsored lots of militant groups against its neighbors, both now and in the past. It also often represses Christians and Hindus, as well as certain ethnic minorities. And their nuclear arsenal was built against U.S. wishes, with China's assistance during the Cold War. In other words, not exactly our "friend" either.

If their people had converted to Christianity, then they would be in a MUCH better place today.

The fact of the matter is HanesBrands Inc North Carolina knows exactly what's going on in Bangladesh, pollute their environment, exploit human lives

The corporate executives profiting off the poor 11 year old Halimas should be sentenced to life imprisonment in a labor camp, chained together as a gang, performing hard labor IMHO, just like in Georgia or Mississippi in the 1920's, shackles on the ankles, work together, sleep together, eat together, shower and deficate together
Thank you for your reply.

We still need to know the consequences if that factory imposes some version of child labor laws. Will Halima starve or merely be re-employed in Pakistan elsewhere at a lower wage?

If you say you are a Christian, you might could consider praying for guidance re having a grudge, bearing ill will, holding hate in your heart, and wishing a cruel & unusual punishment against some CEOs.

And what is the root cause of rampant sex trafficking, with Halimas here in forced labor? We need only point to an culture that is casual about sex outside of marriage, fosters a hook-up culture at colleges, and renames prostitutes as “sex-workers” just trying to make an honest living. No words for the leaders that condone all of this?

Peace and blessings.

Deal with the facts, Hanes Brand Inc corporate executives are exploiting young Halimas for profit, and they know fully what they're doing

Using a young 11 year old girl to work for .53 cents a day, without going to school "Criminal Exploitation"

Thank you for your (broken-record) reply.

It would be helpful if you could provide solid evidence for your accusations.

A quick internet search reveals that Haynesbrand only owns overseas factories in east Asia: e.g., Vietnam, Thailand, China.
(There is even a PBS report on the Vietnam factory, but nothing in it about child labor.)

You are curiously silent about them, despite our knowledge of labor conditions in China‘s iPhone factories.

Also, there is the fact that Haynesbrand has received awards from Ethisphere for its overseas business practices. Bogus?

Peace and blessings.

Ahem: as it happens the evidence you cite for condemning Haynesbrand Execs consists of a single YouTube video, which is an interview with Halima by a now defunct labor activist org.

—the video is 17 years old
—the Hanes corporation, not Haynesbrand, was buying clothing from factories owned and operated by Pakistanis

You owe Haynesbrand Execs an Apology for your accusations and condemnation.

Hanes Brand is in several countries around the world using humans as slave labor in sweat shops, it's not just Bangaladesh, and its not isolated to Hanes random, thousands of companies around the globe are guilty of the same exploitation

The article presented was to bring awareness, and yes HanesBrand corporate executives were fully aware of poor little Halimas then and now, and those being abused around the world in the garment/textile business

Kindly present evidence of these accusations, that Haynes Brand owns slave labor factories anywhere.

Fact: labor laws in other countries are not always the same as ours. What we view as unjust, they view as acceptable.

Many U.S. Corporations purchase goods from these countries, which are made in factories owned by the people in these countries. You may even have some in your home.

A cancel culture is not the solution to world problems. Preaching the Gospel, bringing the Word of God to people everywhere will engender better lives everywhere. This is fundamental to Christianity and Christians.

The following video shows much more. Three large families rescued, their debts being paid off, and they were driven away from the brick kilns.

They were taken to a Pakistani pastor's house and fed. They will get help in getting a house and supplies, plus help in setting up their own business.
