You're a new believer. What now? Once a believer accepts Jesus Christ into their heart, he/she is forgiven by God and the blood of Jesus washes all sin away; the person now has a clean slate. It's God's gift to humanity. The works of the Old Testament (Law) and/or philanthropy cannot save you. Only by putting your faith in the death, resurrection and the blood of Jesus can atone for your sins.
Ephesians 2
[8] For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
[9] Not of works, lest any man should boast.
[10] For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
How do you now begin your new life in Jesus? You must understand that God has called the born again believers to Holiness, not impurity. After all, it was sin that destroyed the world, and required Jesus to come and pay the price to redeem us. Please don't be deceived by those who claim that failing to walk in God's holiness will not void your Salvation. It will.

[7] For God has not called us for impurity, but in holiness.
Ephesians 2

Romans 12

[2] And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Ephesians 4
[21] If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:

[23]And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;

[26]Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:
[27] Neither give place to the devil.
[28]Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.
[29]Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. [30]And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
[31]Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:
[32]And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
