Jesus told His disciples: "If any of you wants to be My follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross, and follow Me. If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for My sake, you will save it." - Matthew 16:24–25
When you surrender your plans, timing, and will for God's plans, you will find true abundant life and everything you have been looking for all along. At some point in your Christian walk the Lord will call you to go all in and trust Him entirely in a way that takes greater faith than you've walked in previously. Perhaps it's time for you to yield and say, "Yes, Lord. Everything but You must go!"
Revelation 3:20 - "If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me."
Do you want God?
Do you want fellowship in the Spirit?
Do you want to walk with Him?
Do you desire communion with Him?
Everything else is no good. You want the association with God, and Jesus says, "I will come in to you and dine with you and you with Me." We can attain spiritual maturity, becoming warriors to battle the kingdom of darkness and establish the Great Commission.
The Holy Spirit breathes through us, enabling us to say, "You are my Father." Because you have been adopted, "God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, 'Abba, Father!'" (Galatians 4:6) There is "no condemnation" -- we find that "the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus" makes us "free from the law of sin and death" (Romans 8:1,2), giving us the victory over sin that we have found so elusive in the past. Glory!
1 Peter 2:9 - "But you are...a royal priesthood."
By what right do we become "a royal priesthood?"
Answer: By the right of the Atonement.
Are we prepared to leave our self-absorbed existence and launch out into the priestly work of helping others with their spiritual lives in Christ? There is only one place where we are right, and that is in Christ Jesus.
Move on out in the reckless belief that the Redemption is complete and begin to demonstrate the life and priesthood of Jesus by pouring our lives into advancing His Kingdom, through apprehending the ascended life in Christ by abandoning the self-life, and discipling other believers into their Christ identity.
