Exhortation - October 14, 2026

  • Welcome to Christian Forums, a Christian Forum that recognizes that all Christians are a work in progress.

You will need to register to be able to join in fellowship with Christians all over the world.

We hope to see you as a part of our community soon and God Bless!

Colossians 2:9,10 - "For in Christ lives all the fullness of God in a human body. So you also are complete through your union with Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority."

Does that sound like a description of some pitiful, poor weakling that can barely make ends meet?

No!.

It's a description of the child of the King. God is moving all over the Earth. Stay with Him. Stay in the Word. Every day affirm and meditate on those scriptures that show you your inheritance in Jesus' finished work of the cross and your sonship in Him. It is your job to keep the Word of your redemption hot and alive in your spirit and mind.

It's God's business to meet our needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19) and it is our mission to advance His Kingdom, bearing fruit that remains through our Christ calling as we change the way people think about their role in the Great Commission.

1 Thessalonians 4:13 - "But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them who are asleep, that you SORROW NOT, even as others who have no hope...Since we believe that Jesus died and rose again..."

We have seen grief and sorrow as such a natural part of life that we haven't even questioned them -- there are times when we actually want to feel sad and sorry for ourselves. But grief and sorrow are dangerous things.

The force behind these emotions are actually spirit beings sent by the devil himself to kill, steal and destroy.

Jesus bore grief and sorrow (Isaiah 53) so we wouldn't have to. If they come knocking on your door, remember they are not innocent emotions. They are deadly enemies that Jesus carried away at Calvary. Don't live as those who have no hope.

You're a believer. You know that Jesus Christ died for you and rose again -- it gives you hope in every situation. Sorrow not!

Luke 11:42 - "But woe unto you, Pharisees! for you tithe mint and rue and all manner of herbs, and pass over justice and the love of God: these ought you to have done, and not to leave the other undone."

When Jesus said, "and not to leave the other undone," it is clear the He is not arguing against doing what is right. God's word stresses holiness in our actions. The Pharisees error was that they believed their ACTIONS could produce a right relationship with God.

You must be born again. If you are born again then holiness is a by-product of oneness with Christ and part of your rebirth. The old self is dead and Jesus is living through you in the power of His resurrection through the Ascended Life in Christ which envolves death to the self life by laying your life down for the spiritual advancement of others. Presenting holiness in any other way is denying Jesus as our Savior.

Logical Lies Masquerade as Humility:

• "I'm just being humble."
• "I don't have what it takes."
• "Someone else could do it better."

We call it humility, but often it's agreement with inadequacy instead of agreement with grace.

Sober thinking is accurate thinking. True humility isn't thinking less of yourself; it's thinking in agreement with what God says. If God says you are called, equipped, and empowered, then agreeing with small thinking isn't humility; it's misplaced logic.

We don't honor God by believing we're incapable. We honor Him by trusting His grace on our lives.
