Psalm 25:12 - "Who is the man who fears the LORD?" -
The abiding consciousness of the life is to be God -- not just thinking about Him. The whole of our life inside and out is to be haunted by the presence of God.
We are to live and move and have our whole being in God, to look at everything in relation to God. Because the abiding consciousness of God pushes itself to the front all the time -- nothing else can get in, no cares, no tribulation, no anxieties.
Affirmation:
Today, I carry my open heaven with me; I live and minister under an open heaven, and God continues to surprise me day-to-day. God's favor comes upon me because I pursue His presence and advancing His Kingdom and nothing more. I desired Him alone, above all else. I seek His presence, not the blessings His presence brings.
1 John 4:16 - "And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him."
If we believe our own feelings rather than what Scripture says about us, we continue to live without freedom and without power. We live as if we are behind bars, even after the bars are gone.
The Holy Spirit breathes through us, enabling us to say, "You are my Father." Because you have been adopted, "God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, 'Abba, Father!'" (Galatians 4:6) There is "no condemnation" -- we find that "the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus makes us free from the law of sin and death" (Romans 8:1,2). Glory!
Perhaps your spiritual climb feels difficult today. Perhaps the trail is steep. Perhaps the wind is strong. Perhaps your legs are weary. Do not stop. Do not camp halfway up the mountain. Do not turn back. The summit is nearer than you think. The King is waiting above. The crown has already been prepared. And beyond the final ridge is a feast unlike anything this world could ever offer.
Keep climbing.
Keep trusting.
Keep seeking.
Keep ascending the holy mountain of the Lord (the ascended life in Christ).
The deeper life has never been about obtaining spiritual experiences. It is about becoming so captivated by Jesus that nothing else satisfies. Every difficult season becomes another step upward. Every trial becomes another opportunity to trust Him. Every hardship becomes another stone beneath our feet as we ascend His holy mountain.
