John 1:1-2
~ Here we see that Christ has existed outside of time and space, and outside of Creation. This proves the fact that Christ was not a created being, but rather IS God Himself; the 2nd person of the Trinity
[Gen. 1:1 ; Rev. 3:14 ; Col. 1:17-18 ; Micah 5:2 ; Heb. 1:3]
~ We see that this "beginning" referenced is actually before time and space; because time and space are themselves creations. "In the beginning.... God created".This means that Christ existed before any creation took place.
~ There are some religious cults who claim that Christ is the first created being; but this verse shows unmistakably that Christ existed as the 2nd person of the Trinity pre-creation.
~ Christ as the 2nd Person of the Trinity was understood to be God even in the Old Testament
[Micah 5:2 ; Isa. 9:6]
Christ as God in the Old Testament
Judges 6:11-12 ; 20-22
~ Here we see that Christ sometimes appeared to the men of the Old Testament in what is called a Christophony; that is He took on the appearance of flesh, but was not actually enfleshed.
~ We know that this could not just be a normal angel; angels do not accept worship or sacrifices, but this angel did, showing that He was indeed God
[Rev. 22:8-9 ; Rom. 1:25 ; Col. 2:18]
~ Now, we have proven that this must be God in the form of an angel [Theophony], but that does not necessarily prove that this is Christ; but this is indeed proven later on in Judges
Judges 13:16-18
~ The angel of the Lord tells Manoah that His name is secret, but the word in the Hebrew is actually the word for marvelous and wonderful. The name Wonderful belongs to Christ, according to Isaiah [Is. 9:6]
~ This "Word" is God, the second person of the Trinity; not a created being
