Spiritual Fruit- Love-

Matthew 5:43-48; Matthew 22:35-40

Luke 6: 27-36; Luke 10:25-37

"One of them, a lawyer, asked Him a question, testing Him, “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” And He said to him, “ ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart , and with all your soul , and with all your mind .’ This is the great and foremost commandment. The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself .’

Matthew 22:35‭-‬39 NASB1995

Thoughts: I always liked the parable of the good samaritan. It is not always easy to love the "unlovable", but I ask God to give me eyes to see others as He sees others. I have probably not done as much as I can in showing love to everyone. But when we love others, it is like we are loving Jesus also.

"But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High; for He Himself is kind to ungrateful and evil men."

Luke 6:35 NASB1995

I want to be like my Father and imitate Him in showing love and mercy. It is not a struggle for me to love people, but I could show it more in my actions...praying for people that do not have God in their lives or struggle with sin.
