new age rhetoric.

If I'm new age...it's the old age...renewed...

Isaiah 46:10
Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:

Malachi 4:6
And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.

Don't feel alone.

Most Christians today discard many of the plain teachings of the NT church(Epistles).

They also skip Acts.

Yeah well, I guess that's why I'm Messianic...

I'm not your kind of Christian, to see through the lens of "church fathers", who disregarded (skipped) the "Old Testament", to favor new things like churchianity.

My point being, you can't enforce your abritrary rules, using something you haven't even entered in yourself.

"plain teaching" is for those who just want to sit back and listen to what their "fathers" tell them to think.

1 Cor 14(Paul's commands) are "arbitrary rules"?

No, just certain interpretations and/or applications of Paul's writings, as Peter mentioned there would be, because of disregard for Torah:

2 Peter 3:16
As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.

That "unlearned" is speaking about Torah. How much Torah have you studied?

I am no longer under the schoolmaster.

I graduated 42 years ago.

Yeah, I heard this rhetoric before...learned it from your fathers huh?

Perfect example of wresting his writings out of context.

If you are practicing partial Law, you will crash and burn at the end.

Like I said, I've done my homework...have you?
Yes, that is how I got the graduation certificate I received...

23 But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.

24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.

Ohhh, okay, so when you studied Torah, you learned that women shouldn't speak and/or teach at the Easter Sunday service, huh...?

34 Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience as also saith the law.

35 And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.

You know that the "saith the law" is speaking about what you should learn about Torah...right?

And it's speaking about the Appointed Times (Moedim). The men are to present themselves before Elohim (Deuteronomy 16:16).

Some of the folks Paul taught were coming out of paganism...having certain goddesses and such, so more matriarchal.

I'm not going to stroke your ego. Stand up and BE a man.... a REAL man as described in the Word. The respect will come without your request for it.

Im a bit surprised... Are you a feminist?
You haven't addressed my post at all. The fact remains... Men do all the hard yakka jobs that we take for granted every day...

My post was also about these abhorrent labels that have been put on us "rape culture" "patriarchy" "toxic masculinity"... Their disgusting along with all the slogans that comes from these feminazis

Do u believe there is inequality in the western world? Where?
Cos my sis and i had the same opportunities in our lives. Same education, same choices

Correct. People should understand that these are Satanic attacks on men to emasculate them. Let's take "rape culture". Every time the Hollywood celebrities have a public event shown on TV worldwide what do you see? Near naked women parading their bodies before everyone. Now if that is not designed to arouse the men watching, what is it? Then these same women associate with their male associates or producers/directors later on, and expect to go home without anything being done? After that they join the #MeToo gang and gang up on the men. But who started the ball rolling and who undressed before everyone?

"One aspect of ancient Corinth that has a bearing on the history of Christianity is the other deities worshiped there at the time of St. Paul and in the centuries thereafter. Many of these deities were female, something that may be less well known today. Relatedly, there are also religious remains that provide ample evidence for the involvement of women in cultic activities.

In addition to temples located in the forum, a temple to Demeter and Kore was found on the northern slope of Acrocorinth. According to the Greek travel writer Pausanias, a spring behind the Aphrodite temple on Acrocorinth was linked to the Peirene Fountain. Also, statues to various female deities adorned the forum area, as mentioned above. Pausanias and archaeological remains attest to the existence in the forum area of impressive ones to the Ephesian Artemis [photo left], Nike, Tyche, Aphrodite (the latter two perhaps housed in separate small temples) and Athena (a colossal bronze statue), as well as to male gods Dionysos and Clarian Apollo.

Traditional descriptions of Graeco-Roman Corinth (and earlier) have stressed the importance of the male deities Poseidon, Apollo, Zeus, Helios (the Sun), Asklepios, Pan, and Dionysos. Commentators devote more text and photographs to these male deities than to female ones. No doubt these gods were important to early Corinthians, but recent scholarship and new excavations have shown that several goddesses were indeed prominent at Corinth through the early Christian era and into early Byzantine times."

So Paul was calling them from paganism to Torah...not away from...into some new age (testament).
