How's that so far? @FluffyYellowDuck ?
Looking over it, it looks good to me! Still need to look over it more tonight but I trust your discernment and I take heart to what you say, so I definitely want to be "aware" and knowledgeable about whatever is going on. I've been pretty ignorant about all of it, to be honest!

@Heart2Soul Do you have verses for these prophecies? I'd like to read into it myself. It isn't something I've looked into as much as I should.

I do think we also need to pray for the US. Someone sent me a link today and something clicked that makes me think we're on the verge of a Civil War or something. I don't know what it is but it is something.

of all the advice given, nowhere do the apostles tell us to keep our eyes on Israel.
That's fine...not a problem...they aren't alive to be witnessing prophesy being fulfilled. I know what my Father told me to do and I am being faithful to be obedient....
Now this is secondary to keeping my faith in Him....but how else would you know if prophesy has been fulfilled unless you are seeing it take place.

I tell you this is the days we live in...people are more focused on religious works than on hearing His voice.
I thank God that the Apostles led by example of how to hear His voice and obey it.
Let us all be not only hearers but doers of His Word. Amen?

Matthew 16, Jesus criticized the pharisees for not knowing the signs of the times, which we are still given for today.

"He replied, “When evening comes, you say, ‘It will be fair weather, for the sky is red,’ and in the morning, ‘Today it will be stormy, for the sky is red and overcast.’ You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs of the times."

And I am guilty of this myself.

Just learn to be led of the Holy Spirit on what to do...that's what I do...I pray and ask...seeking His Wisdom on all things.

It is not my intention to be harsh or rash with you...sometimes I just don't get how people can assert such comments as you did...implying that I don't look to Jesus or that I am telling others not to look to Him....
When in truth what I share comes from Him....and from His Word.
So I may have been overly defensive towards your comment and I apologize.
Of course we need to keep our eyes on Jesus....but even Jesus said when you "see" these things begin to come to pass then our redemption draws near.
I hope that clarifies things a little better.

I meditated on this some more and I realized that you are referring to looking on Jesus with our spiritual eyes and I am referring to looking at Israel with the natural eyes...seeing what is happening in relation to prophesy.
So you are correct...keep your eyes (spiritual) on Jesus.

MUST WATCH! The awakening!

What GOD is doing? This we are saying everyday.

The worst will come yet, because GOD will fulfill LITERALLY 2 Thessalonians 2:v. 11-12 sending to them the Wicked according verses 9-10. Check it out combined with John 5:v.43 to 47, among others.

Quiet, both the apostles and the Lord Jesus Christ said to keep our eyes open and watch for the fulfillment of Biblical prophecy centered around ISRAEL. It is a Biblical command. Why do you have a problem with it?

? ... because it's a Foundational aspect of CHRISTIANITY ... ?

I'll let him answer for himself, but it can be amazing sometimes how when we stop hearing from the Spirit of God our teachings can become 100% the EXACT OPPOSITE of what the word of God actually teaches.

What is in question is your interpretation of Old Testament prophecies.

Jesus reference here was to his own arrival. The three wise men from the east were switched on to these prophecies as was Anna and Simeon.

National Israel has abandoned Jesus....they look for another. The religious side of National Israel are geared to continue the sacrifices of animals....this patently says that Jesus is not their Messiah......so why would one who believes in Jesus look to National Israel?

You say because the prophecies yet Jesus says when the spirit of truth comes he will point us to him.....not to the Spirit, not to Israel but to Jesus.....Now, what does that mean is the question.

Jesus told Israel, 'your house has been left desolate' ...he was speaking specifically of the temple which he had left for the last time....the very temple which he was the embodiment of.

And might I ask, what great thing do you hope to see by looking to National Israel?....because it's not Jesus!

When God told me to keep my eyes on Israel as prophesy one after another is being fulfilled I have done as He said...
And I am in prayer as I see more and more of prophesy being fulfilled...

Israel under fire? This fire signifies nothing.

The significant FIRE is this: 2 Peter 3:v.7 - 7 But the heavens (it means: the first and the second heavenly environments - or the OLD and NEW Testaments established b y GOD) and the earth (the dry land, the clay, Israel), which are now, by the same Word are kept in store, reserved unto FIRE against this Day of Judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

The Word is GOD, yeah, the Word is GOD.

Speaking of this great Day of Judgment, read Romans 2:v.4 to 16

Jesus gave a short range forecast for Jerusalem which was to result as a rejection of him. The fulfilment of Biblical prophecy in the Old Testament has a different application. I would say, be mindful how you understand and use language.
