So why is it that some claimed born again Christians say that if you don't do this or that, or you do this and that, that you're going to Hell? That's not what scripture teaches!!! It's really mean and hurtful. Especially somebody like me who really loves Jesus. :(

I'm sorry but you totally misunderstood my post. I never said nor implied that you are going to Hell. And I do not believe you are going to Hell. God bless you!

Yes you did but we're not going to talk about the specific issue on a public forum.

I did not! That's a lie!

If you wish to discuss this matter please PM me instead and I can show you exactly where you said that. I did not tag you in this thread or even mention whether or not it was about you so I have done nothing wrong by just discussing it as a topic in general. You chose to come here on your own and berate me.

If I berated you then quote me. I don't think you can. You've been hurt but I didn't do it! I'm done.

You will unfortunately find threads that discuss the judgment of God and the doctrines/saving ordinances of God. And we as children are vastly unqualified to discuss judgment and his doctrines and ordinances of salvation are spelled out in the bible. But people interpret the bible in the way they understand which leads to vast discord when discussed openly in forums like this.

I know i still sin everyday and i feel guilt about it. The guilt is a good thing. If i was to sin against God and not feel any guilt at all, that would not be a good thing

I also know that if i took time away from God--lets say i stopped reading the bible for a week and stopped listening to sermons everyday--my guilt would start to go away and i would become more of the world each day

Thats why its important to spend time with God daily. All this may seem a little off topic but heres where it will tie together. I would be a hypocrite to point out the spec in my brother or sisters eye knowing i have a plank in my own eye. Anyone thats self rightous and is beating people up with the law does not see the plank in their own eye. I believe the way to help people is by praying with them and displaying the fruits of the spirit. You have to be truthful about the word but dont beat someone up with it

Lastly, i have to say that i do have sympathy even for the self rightous. The process of being humbled and removing that plank from your eye is a very painful one

I don't know about this, Devin. I'm not the judgmental type - I believe in loving all people no matter who or what they are - but I do believe Christians not only can but should be able to discuss the judgments of God.

I mentioned it in this post here just this morning. Tell me what you think, but I think such things have to be discussed because souls are at stake, and we should not just hide our heads in the sand and let people go to Hell, IMO.

My approach is to share the gospel, judgment is spelled out by God in the bible. I also let church leaders be the judges of the congregation, and I'll judge what to be around for myself and my family. I remove myself from some people and situations and try not to judge. Let me take a look.

Well this is a good approach right here, and when one is trying to witness, I don't feel it is the time to be trying to condemn them for their sins. But if they are IN the church and trying to grow in Christ, this is when they need to be informed that God does indeed pass judgment on sin if they remain in it without repentance.

See this passage also in the other thread that I just quoted (the first one):

Mainly because....
They RIDE the FENCE.
* On one hand, they claim to be born again.
* On the other hand, "they continue" to live under the Law....and PROJECT that you also are UNDER the Law...and they take it upon themselves to DICTATE to others (they are committing SIN)...but yet they run and hide, when you ask ....ACCORDING TO WHAT (other than their opinion), says you have committed a sin.

April_Rose, Just remember, no other person can Change your Relationship with the Lord. Period. Certainly not by what they say. There are plenty of people who will say, YOU have to do this, YOU cannot do that.
If you are Saved...NOTHING whatsoever can Change that.

God Bless,

I personally see a lot of people in church and outside of church that aren't being judged by God that I think should be. So clearly God judges differently than I do. Which teaches me not to judge. And his lack of judgements don't follow scriptural adherence here on earth. Perhaps when they die and are sentenced then? Again it's God's place to judge.

But sure, we're on a forum with impressionable Christians so share your beliefs on the subject. We all have a right to weigh in on the subject.

Yes, judgment must remain in the hands of God, and for good reason. We would have all condemned each other long ago, if not for one thing then for another.

Yes. My personal view is that the Lord is not as close to the modern church as He was to the New Testament church, and so the scripture "To whom much is given, much is expected" comes into play. But I think a time is coming when the Lord will draw nearer again, and then we will again come under stricter judgment for our conduct, including in relation to how we treat one another as brothers and sisters in Christ.

I feel him close now.

People judge in the moment.
It is not forbidden for People to Judge.
There is a "caveat", Judge Rightly, because you will be Judged by others according to the way you Judge others.
As far as God...God guides behavior between men, with PRECEPTS...
God guides behavior between man toward God with Commands.
* However A man can think, say, do whatever he wants between himself and other people and God.
* God keeps a record of every individual man.
* If a mans trespasses against a man was or was not forgiven.
* If a mans sin against God was or was not forgiven.
* Also what works a "saved" man did to glorify God.
* Gods JUDGEMENT, is after the 1,000 years reign and destruction of the world (as we know it).
* the Unsaved will eternally be separated from the Earths surface and God.
* the Fallen angels (demons) will eternally be separated from the Earths surface and lower heavens and God.
* the Saved willreceive their glorified Body.
* the Saved will receive Rewards for every works they did to glorified God...(and that has a "caveat"...) if you glorified God and bragged about it and men "rewarded" you with praise, a plac, a ribbon, whatever....THAT is your reward, and you will not receive a Reward from God.

So, in one respect...Angels can Aid a man in preventing a sort of catastrophe (sort like you being in a 30 car pile up, and everyone is injured but you)....
