If you truly “ knew what I was expressing” you would not refer to me having a
bad day” and a possessor of an “ unstable” mind.....I KNEW what I said ....I can DEFEND what I said with Scripture.....and I do not Apologize for what I said ...

I explained my position in a post in That Thread That got shut down....Anybody that wants to view it can get back in there and check it out for themselves... it should be easy .....Ferris and others seem to have no problem retrieving posts that appear to “ condemn me”—— it should be just as easy to pull out one where I explain a controversial position—- and quite well , if I DO say do myself....lol....
I apologize if I misrepresented you.

What I had thought you were saying as that even though you no longer had a sense of faith in God, yet that did not disqualify you from your already obtained salvation, and in fact, God restored you to a cognizant faith. Perhaps I misunderstood, if so, again, I'm sorry!

Much love!

When you know your weakness that is when you are strong. Gods power is made perfect in weakness.
That's what we need to understand! When we really understand about God's strength in our weakness, we really do get happy over being so puny! When we will JUST STOP thinking we add our works to His.

Much love!

What a wonderful day this has been spent with my very gentle and respectful brothers. A lot to work through with Gods help! I’ll be remembering our conversation for a long time and know God will further our understanding and our inconsistencies.
I so agree! Praise God!

I'm very thankful to be able to participate here, to help keep my mind centered on Jesus!

Much love!

I see being born again as an opportunity to do right what Adam and Eve did wrong. As a result of Adam and Eve disobedience we have all been dead. Jesus brought us back to a new opportunity.
I see being born again as entering in an uncorrupted way, and in the spirit, into the life that would have been given from eating from the tree of Life. Had they eaten from that tree, they would have lived forever. We have eaten from the True Tree of Life, Jesus.

God gave manna, and they died, but Jesus is the true Bread.

Much love!

I’m not certain Moses was not trusting God. I think I remember God saying Moses failed to display Gods holiness...

I don’t know. Sometimes I read it and think I can see some...arrogance creeped in? It’s hard for me to fully understand.
Well, regardless of the nuts and bolts, Moses' ending was unfortunate. But we know he was saved.

Very tired now this old man in the flesh from a long day for me. Tomorrow I will look in here again if time permits.
Give God the glory!

Face-saving rhetoric. It's the easiest thing in the world for those who have earnestly turned their backs on God to lie to keep themselves from looking like fools.
If you read what he wrote, you may come away with a different idea. I certainly did.

Also @stunnedbygrace

And it seems, while you look at the story of the Israelites whom God had saved from slavery in Egypt and learn from that, you seem to forget to look at the contrast between them and the Christians, between the old and new covenants, between the shadow and the reality. I have on the other thread wrote about that.

Besides, concerning the Israel of God, Paul said, “it is not that the word of God has taken no effect. For they are not all Israel who are of Israel”, and also “all Israel will be saved”.
Im not seeing much of a contrast between us and them. I’m seeing that we make the same exact mistake as them about trusting. And we be the seed of Abraham starts to sound like we be the born again. If we can’t get out of the desert because we refuse to stop worrying over provision like they did, what’s the difference?
A better covenant yes, but still based on trust. By grace, THROUGH trust.
At least you are looking at that.

One main contrast is that, the Christian have the Holy Spirit dwelling in them, while they don’t.

Another one is that, what covenant they are in with God is but a shadow of the new covenant that the Christians are in with God, a covenant that is generally and in all respect, better than the covenant they have with God. This is very much true in that the covenant Christians are now in with God replaced that covenant God made with them whose mediator was Moses.

Only opinions to offer . . . some because they believe this, and are concerned for others. Some, because they have something wrong with them, and endeavor to shipwreck other's faith.

Much love!

Bad Teaching is the main Culprit ...mainly “ self” called Preachers , as opposed to “ God” called Preachers .....an old, old story—— “ The Blind leading the Blind”

Christ was shocked that Nicodemus didn't understand regeneration. The conditions of eternal life are the same today as they have always been--perfect obedience to the commandments of God. If it were not so we would not need a savior.
Previously, the one who keeps the law lives by it. That is, if you keep the law, you get to live. Now, the just shall live by faith. So it's gone from keeping the Law, to trusting Jesus.

Naturally, keeping the Law was a sign of your believing it was valid, and from a true God, Who would hold you accountable.

Abraham was justified and regenerate when he first believed God, just like everyone else.
I believe we are regenerated by being immersed into Jesus' death and resurrection, and before Jesus died and rose again, this was not available.

OT faithful found themselves in Sheol after their death because you have to be born again to see the kingdom of God. So they waited for Jesus' death and resurrection, after which He "led captivity captive".

You may not be thinking so, but the Bible often compares our individual relationships with Him to human interpersonal ones.
I'm aware of comparisons. The one which comes most readily to mind is how as Christ's body, it's like our marriages.

Ephesians 5:29-32 KJV
29) For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:
30) For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
31) For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
32) This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.

This is how Jesus is with us. We are members of His body, and He nourishes us, and cherishes us, we are one with Him.

We are with Jesus as our bodies are with us, except even more so!

Much love!
