Well I don't think it's what the country has come down to so much as failure in the public school system. The public schools are pushing all sorts of evil on the children. But as @Amazed@grace pointed out he's facing charges now.

Mask or no mask,... nothing gives a person the right to slap a child like that!!!
I was out with missionaries once when I lived in California and I saw thru a house window a Father slap his son like that. It was really offensive and tragic. I think God will judge them that hurt the little ones because of their vulnerabilities in life.

Matthew 18:6

King James Version

6 But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.

Know what I also think is offensive and tragic, when I'm at the store and a parent spanks their child for crying and having sad fits. And I think that has been around for a long time. Bad parenting.

Let's hope the bus driver gets a very powerful lesson here. Maybe it will prevent him from doing anything similar, and maybe not. Some people learn from their faults, while I find that others do not and remain the same their entire lives. The sad thing is that some people don't learn and grow throughout life. I think if I was going to say why it is probably that their maturity growth gets stunted by emotional trauma that has never been properly addressed with professional help. Often the abuser is a child that has been abused themselves. And they have a sad story that they need to address in anger management class or a different professional setting.

Years ago there was a news report wherein a mom was loudly arguing with her daughter in a mall store.
The 19 year old daughter called her mom the B word. The mother responded with an open hand slap to her daughters cheek.

End of argument.

After that a woman who witnessed this followed the women as they left the store. She copied down their license plate and called police.

Cops arrived at the moms home based on the child abuse claim by the woman shopper.
The daughter refused to press charges, admitting she deserved the slap for disrespecting her mother.

They arrested the mom anyway.
Never did find out what happened after that.

A child abuse conviction one ones record, when apartment and condo managers, employers, conduct background checks now days, is ruinous to ones chances of a good life.

Also looking at the footage, am not sure if that girl might have smarted off to Him as well, because it seemed plausible for her to be as children sometimes do be 'mouthy' ~ I do not know cause can't hear it even though the man reacted like He did ; he probably had problems going on already in his life and it just topped the cake.

There are so many different and wide array of facets in life that come along the way that leads up to and an incident comes up which puts in a position where we react in whatever fashion we decide to regardless of who is there or around us.

Because as Human beings we are going to do what we want to do no matter what anyway... and we have all made mistakes, and have done something wrong in our lives. Thank God for the Lord Jesus Christ!

It also used to be a tuffer world, getting in a fight was just a way to deal with things, to a point society has got soft. People call the police when someone gets into a fight or hits a child. It wasn't always that way. I got spanked by a teacher with a wooden paddle when I was a child twice. Once I deserved it, the other time not so much. But child punishment should never be aimed at the head.

There is no excuse for child abuse.

Believe me I agree, along with there is no reason for raping another human being, or no reason for killing another human being as well. There is no reason for child abuse, or sexual abuse to a child; Or There is no reason for lying for gain and manipulating other human beings, Or There is no reason for stealing from your neighbor and sleeping with their wife, Or There is no reason for hating other people even after they have made mistakes, There is no reason not to forgive others, because the Lord has forgiven us. That is my perception though and maybe not everyone perception is the same.

Those who commit those sins have their reasons. It's why they commit those offenses in the first place.

That's no excuse.

After stating what you do.
Why, and What are you trying to say when you say That's no excuse? I would like to understand.

While this is true I also think we as Christians need even more to remain positive so the world has an example to follow.

What would you have to say if you could share today on a word of encouragement to the world itself ? What would you say?

I would agree with you about being positive and remaining in the light of Christ Jesus than being consumed by darkness and an unbelieving heart.
