How about the corner of the roof? Lol I can laugh now, but it sure wasn't funny then.

I would have rather lived in a gutter.
I'm telling you, Fluffy Duck, you did that so well, I just had a flashback! Yeah, maybe I'll go find that mountaintop after all. Monk Time. A safer place...like the top of Mount Bachelor!

Not a bad Mount. Trust me.

Scripture says He is the Only Wise God, and I no longer put trust in the intelligence of men, including my own.

hmmmm, do you think that might be the reason I didn't respond to your thread on Literal Israel?

Haha! :D

A more serious one I would tell myself, is to not allow myself to be a person of convenience. Not to be a person where someone just comes around when it's convenient for them to pop up after weeks, but to have relationships in my life where they make an effort.

I would have also told myself to let myself put people in their place more often in a kind and graceful way. Don't be afraid to stand your ground.

Set standards and expectations. Set a bar. Not just for others, but for yourself. Be dignified and carry some manner of grace. Don't be seen as weak and naive, there are people in low places in life that will pick up on that and take advantage of you for it.

The most important thing I would have warned myself about is that the most people who are charismatic and overly friendly at first can also tend to be the most dangerous and narcissistic later.
Yep. Never ever settle. Never compromise your standards and ethics to make someone else happy.

I've been thinking about this. All I can think of really is, "Have faith. Don't be afraid, because everything works out okay in everything. Worry does nothing, because God is faithful every step of the way."

And I think, "you are on the right track... It is hard, but you sought God out in your decisions, and it will pay off. Just try to forgive sooner then later. Especially yourself."

I didn't listen to myself then about stopping self injury, so I probably would not have listened to myself now. Maybe upped my anxiety medication if I was talking to my future self. LOL

The emphasis that matters unfolds Jesus ...words easily said but little understood. How do I know that?...by listening!

I just tagged you again.

I'm listening. :) Come talk to me for Heaven's sakes. It's been weeks, and you really shouldn't be interrupting this thread with references to that one. Come discuss it with me there instead:

Amen to that. :)

If I could give myself advice right now (which I am actually), it is, "Trust God, and keeping trusting your senses. Though you have been wrong a few times, you have heard from Him many times accurately, so trust in His ability to continue speaking to you and lighting the way, showing you truth from falsehood."
All I can think of really is, "Have faith. Don't be afraid, because everything works out okay in everything. Worry does nothing, because God is faithful every step of the way."

I think in many ways it's about wielding the shield of faith. It is a weapon that defends us against attacks that can be deadly and demoralizing. But the longer you walk with God and see Him move in your life, the stronger you become and the stronger your shield gets. So it's really just a matter of continuing on in the battle we face, until you have the upper hand on the enemy at all times.

It's doubtful it would matter, I expect I wouldn't have listened, just as I didn't listen to others.

Much love!

I thought about that, at least regarding some of the stuff I might have told myself. :) But there are other things I might have said that would have raised a sinking suspicion. Sort of like, "Boy, that has a ring of truth to it...." LoL.
