his is a really perverted view of Scripture.
You actually believe that you can "follow Jesus" and reject His plan for salvation and the very nature of God??

I'm saying you are perverting the Great Commission to get others to simply follow Christ (via baptism). I am not talking about rejecting Jesus but what you are saying his plan is. The nature of God is irrelevant entirely. Just bring people to Christ. Let him worry about everything else.

Back in post #135 - I showed you some ESSENTIAL differences in ESSENTIAL doctrine that Protestants disagree on.
YOU stated that this didn't matter - as long as they "followed Christ."

To claim that you can "just follw Christ" yet reject His teachings is not only FOOLISH - it is an oxymoron.

As Jesus commanded, not you or the RCC. You are so full of yourself, you equate yourself to Christ.
You dodged the question.
Explain to me how you reject the nature of God and His plan for salvation - yet still claim to be "following" Him.

I am NOT dodging the question. I am just not answering the question the way you want!

The nature of God has nothing to do with the Great Commission. Putting obstacles such as you ask to bringing people to Christ has a special place in hell.

You're OUT of your mind or living in serious denial if you think that the Great Commission does NOT include Jesus's teachings on the nature of God. or His plan for salvation. It's at the very HEART of the Gospel.

The Great Commission was in the Name of Jesus Christ. The Catholic Encyclopedia, II, page 263: “The baptismal formula was changed from the name of Jesus Christ to the words Father, Son, and Holy Spirit by the Catholic Church in the second century.

You must not add to the word that I am commanding you,
neither must you take away from it, so as to keep the commandments of Jehovah your God that I am commanding you. “Your own eyes have seen what Jehovah did in the case of the Baʹal of Peʹor; Jehovah your God annihilated from your midst every man who walked after the Baʹal of Peʹor. (Deut 4:2-3)

Agreed. However, contrary to BreadOfLife's claim, Matthew 28:19, saying nothing about the nature of God or the plan of salvation. He is an anti-Christ and does not even know it, putting obstacles in the way for people to follow Christ, in violation of Romans 14:1.

Why don't you cite the Scripture if you want to be honest, including the translation? Why do you keep trying to disprove NT with OT?

Ahhhh... kcnalp is an idol worshipper.. and a denier of the Baptism in the Name of Jesus Christ....
  • Peter said to them: “Repent, and let each one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the free gift of the holy spirit.” (Acts 2:38)

Agreed but the Idol Kingdom of Gargoyles...changed the words of Jesus Christ.
  • "Whatever it is that you do in word or in deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, thanking God the Father through him." (Colossians 3:17)

Another dodge.
What a surprise . . .

So when you kiss and worship those statues and relics does it please you when catholics deny the Baptism in the Name of Jesus Christ?

Why claim Peter was the first pope when you deny his teachings??

There is only one person known as Jehovah (Ps. 83:18, KJV). That means that the scripture in question is saying that Jehovah is the King of Israel and the redeemer of Israel.

This is what the Lord, the King of Israel and its Redeemer, the Lord of Hosts, says: I am the first and I am the last. There is no God but Me.- HCSB.

That would be incorrect.
The grammar doesn't allow for it either.

This is further proved when Jesus declares HImself the first and last in Revelation

Not a dodge at all. Just not allowing you to destroy the joy I have in Christ over your irrelevant doctrine.
Friend, my God is the living God. You have made an IDOL of your doctrine. Peace be with you.
Like I said - if YOU consider the doctrines about salvation and the nature of God to be "irrelevant" - then YOU have perverted His Word.

Good luck with that . . .

We will have to agree to disagree that YOUR take on his Word is to be made an obstacle to to bringing people to Christ.

Such a take is discredited by Jesus own words, were he says if he were to glorify himself, it would mean nothing. You take him glorifying himself to mean everything.

Well it is true no matter what argument you try to bring. Jesus is the First and Last mentioned in Revelation.

Did Jesus discredit Himself when He said I and the Father are one?
did Jesu9s discredit Himself when He accepted Thomas Calling HIm HIs Lord and God?
Did Jesus discredit Himself when He called HImself Gods son, making Himself equal to God?
This is not Jesus seeking an ego boost, but simply declaring who He has been for all eternity! God with His Father.
