@prism ... LOL @ maturity and growth... I can't seem to last longer than a few weeks without getting into some sort of trouble. I have an issue with arrogance in others... and I can't seem to change how I behave when I run into these types.

Anyways....Ontario... I live in the north part... I also lived in Saskatchewan for 21 years... I am now living in the city I was born.
I could not handle the humidity that the southern part of Ontario brings.

Thanks, but you never directly addressed those verses I gave you about grace coming before faith.
Also you kept on about free will.
Could you kindly explain how fallen man has free will seeing he is a SLAVE to sin, satan and his flesh?
I like the analogy of faith being the conduit through which grace flows like water through a pipe.

That conduit of faith comes to those in bondage to sin through hearing the Word of God. The argument that it is not possible for the unregenerate person to hear the Word of God and so come to faith is to seriously limit the supernatural qualities of the Word of God and discount the activity of the Holy Spirit.

I too believe that God's Word, especially the promise found in the Gospel message, quickens the dead as Lazarus came to life when Jesus spoke the word "Lazarus, come forth!". Once quickened we are to respond in faith. Does that sound like a Calvinist to you (as I was falsely accused yesterday)?
Yes the Holy Spirit is active in convicting of sin and unbelief. (Jn 16:8-9)

John 16:8-11 (KJV) And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: Of sin, because they believe not on me; Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.

i think it would be best if Mankind would stop limiting what God can do . God can and will save the whosoever shall . i can say one thing i was a unregenerate /Lost person .i heard the Voice of God through the Holy spirt speak its now or never. i chose the now. yes i have had people tell me it was impossible for me to hear . when its time for a person to get saved and they respond they get saved.. just last Friday and Saturday night we had two nights of service at the Church i pastor. i asked a season minister to preach 40 years of preaching. the power of God was in each service.
Saturday night we had a young man saved . was it the minister? NO it was all God man needs to stay out of the way // BTW i am in agreement with you

What is the outcome of this marvelous salvation provided us in Christ? It means we are secure. We are secure in the now life and in the next life as well.
Eternal Salvation is assured because God is faithful to those who abide in Him.

Those who fall away have no recourse to God's faithfulness because they have fallen away from faith in Him.

Heb 6:4-8 For concerning those who were once enlightened and tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Spirit, (5) and tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the age to come, (6) and then fell away, it is impossible to renew them again to repentance; seeing they crucify the Son of God for themselves again, and put him to open shame. (7) For the land which has drunk the rain that comes often on it, and produces a crop suitable for them for whose sake it is also tilled, receives blessing from God; (8) but if it bears thorns and thistles, it is rejected and near being cursed, whose end is to be burned.

Heb 10:29 How much worse punishment do you think he will be judged worthy of who has trodden under foot the Son of God, and has counted the blood of the covenant with which he was sanctified an unholy thing, and has insulted the Spirit of grace?

So can a true believer fall away (child of God)

Or can only a make believer who has been given the gospel. Tasted it and experienced it in the church and how it changed others lives fall away (non believers)

Does a dog return to his vomit

Or does a dog. who was created into a new creation by God himself. revert his being back to a dog.

and how does this happen?

An Evergreen Christian stays faithful to Christ and has the assurance of salvation. A person is only ever a true believer when they are faithful. Those who were once true believers but fall away do so not because of any lack on God's part, but because of their own lack of resolve. In hindsight we can dismiss their falling away as evidence that they were never truly saved, but once again, not through any deficiency on the part of God who is not willing that any should perish, and whose goodness leads to repentance. It's a stubborn, hardened heart that partakes of God's goodness for a season but then repudiates it for temporal rewards.

Jer 17:7-10 Blessed are they who trust in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is. (8) For they shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreads out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat comes, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit. (9) The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? (10) I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give everyone according to their ways, and according to the fruit of their doings.
