To those who read the following. I chose no longer to speak the mysteries of Christ. It seems to many people see in part, speak in part and understand in part. For you don’t need a man to instruct you in the scriptures God will do that. As Paul wrote:
“Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.”
I will from this day forward speak of the saving grace of my Lord and those things that you may know you have assurances.
I’ve read a lot of post using Greek words to understand the scriptures. Much words are used to explain doctrine. Christ has sent us to speak the Gospel. Let God give you the understanding of the rest.

The Gospel is great for leading unbelievers to Christ as well as reminding Christians of the pit from which they were rescued.

Doctrine is great for edifying the believer in the faith.

Whose doctrine? Let the Lord give everyone understanding. Then the truth will be understood.

The doctrine put forward in the Scriptures…

1 Timothy 4:16 NKJV
[16] Take heed to yourself and to the doctrine. Continue in them, for in doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you.

1 Timothy 4:16 NKJV
[16] Take heed to yourself and to the doctrine. Continue in them, for in doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you.
It is always a good thing to understand the doctrine Timothy was referring to. Rather then building your opinion on just one verse.
Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them
which believe and know the truth. For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.
If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained. But refuse profane and old wives' fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness. For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come. This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation. For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe. These things command and teach.
Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity. Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine. Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery. Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all. Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.
Rebuke not an elder, but intreat him as a father; and the younger men as brethren; The elder women as mothers; the younger as sisters, with all purity.
Honour widows that are widows indeed.

Oh pleeez, I gave one Scripture that best summarized my point. You added the whole chapter saying " the doctrine that Timothy referred to". First of all, it was Paul who wrote that letter and secondly, I could have quoted all 6 chapters of 1st Timothy to give it a wider context, if that was your point.

The problem is your point and not the lord who gives understanding.

The problem that many people have is they try to build their understanding with one verse. Drawing their conclusion from it. They do this through human reasoning. Let me give you an example. Take eternal life. Some teach we come into it before death. Some teach that we come into it after death. Why is that? They both read: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” But you have two views of it. One has been shown what it is through the eyes of the HS but the other has used human reasoning. One only reads John 3:16. But the other reads John chapter 17 and is given understanding. The writing in Timothy some do the same thing. In order to see one must look at everything. Paul went on to say our fight is not with flesh and blood but with the spirit and principalities of this world. The spirit that drives a man to hurt one another is the spirit inside of a person. Hatred comes from the evil forces working in a person’s heart. Those whom God has placed his love in walk in Christ.
