I see no reason to give those declarations a spiritual meaning and removing the context.
I’m sorry for such a long post and so many verses but only sharing where the thoughts came from …right or wrong.
Romans 7:14
For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.
Romans 7:16-18 If then I do that which I would not,
I consent unto the law that it is good. [17] Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. [18]
For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.
Romans 8:6-10 For to be carnally minded is death;
but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
there is the two: upon the carnally minded (tribulation and anguish) (to the Jew first, but also to the gentile)
but to be spiritually mind (peace, honour and glory) (to the Jew first, but also to the gentile)
[7] Because the carnal mind is enmity against God:
for it is not subject to the law of God,(for we know the law is Spiritual) neither indeed can be. [8] So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. [9] But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. [10] And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
Romans 8:12-14 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. [13] For if ye live after the flesh,
ye shall die: (tribulation and anguish) but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body,
ye shall live. (Life, Peace, honour, glory)14] For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
Romans 2:9-11 (to be carnally minded is death)Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;
(To be spiritually minded is Life and peace) But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile: [11]
For there is no respect of persons with God.
Romans 14:14 I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean of itself:
but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean, to him it is unclean.
Revelation 22:11-12 He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still. [12] And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
1 Corinthians 3:13-15 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it,
because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.(flesh or of God) [14] If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. [15]
If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
15]
If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss:
Philippians 3:4-9 Though
I might also have confidence in the flesh. If any other man thinketh that he hath whereof he might trust in the flesh, I more: [5] Circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, an Hebrew of the Hebrews; as touching the law, a Pharisee; [6] Concerning zeal, persecuting the church; touching the righteousness which is in the law, blameless. [7] But what things were gain to me,
those I counted loss for Christ. [8] Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom
I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, [9] And be found in him,
not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ,
the righteousness which is of God by faith:
After the inward man…
Isaiah 64:6-12 But we are all as an unclean thing, and
all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away. [7] And there is none that calleth upon thy name, that stirreth up himself to take hold of thee: for thou hast hid thy face from us, and hast consumed us, because of our iniquities. [8] But now, O Lord, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand. [9] Be not wroth very sore, O Lord, neither remember iniquity for ever: behold, see, we beseech thee, we are all thy people. [10] Thy holy cities are a wilderness, Zion is a wilderness, Jerusalem a desolation. [11] Our holy and our beautiful house, where our fathers praised thee,
is burned up with fire: and all our pleasant things are laid waste. (Matthew 23:36-38)[12] Wilt thou refrain thyself for these things, O Lord ?
wilt thou hold thy peace, and afflict us very sore?
1 Corinthians 5:12-13
For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within? [13]
But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.
Concerning the flood and the ark…why boast in those lost without. Have you considered baptism by water where one goes down underneath the water submerged;
buried with Him in the likeness of His death that old man drowned; the New Man raised up into Life to be seated with Christ who is above the waves? What was the flood if not to cleanse the land yet He that comes afterwards Will baptize with Fire. As you said to give to every man according to his works: tribulation and anguish upon deeds of the flesh whereby it is impossible to please God and all will suffer loss, of all things. And honor and glory upon the Spirit of God: that we may be found having not our own righteousness but the Righteousness which comes from God (it is a gift) that is to say Christ the beloved Son in whom God is well pleased still…who did no harm, spoke no guile, neither threatened when threatened …to Him be peace, mercy and truth still and always.
