And as I've said before, you probably were not a genuinely saved person in your youth. Look at your own words. You say you had been poorly taught. Obviously, the false gospel you say you were taught did not lead you to a genuine salvation experience. Can a false gospel do that? So, you did not fall away. You probably were never really saved to begin with.

I had All Of this stuff—— and a lot more....I was a Believer.....Jesus was God in the flesh and was crucified , dead and buried and rose from the dead.....The Methodist church DID manage to get a “few” things right......lol.....they nailed the essential things.....maybe...

Methodist Doctrine is almost as bad as Catholic Doctrines ....I believe anybody that adheres to these Doctrines are “ Fallen from Grace “ and don’t even know what it means....it does not necessarily mean they are lost—— the jury seems to be out on that one....

Sometimes it's like that. Other things take determined restraint to not cave into. The writer of Hebrews says, "In your struggle with sin...", and to the point of "shedding your blood" (Hebrews 12:4). That doesn't sound like 'it just goes away naturally' as you are suggesting. My besetting sins did not go away that way. I had to rely on God in a big way. I had nothing to offer to the battle except to sit before God in defeat. You've had a different experience than that?

Salvation (unto eternal life) is of God, and is by God, and is by grace.

Concerning salvation unto eternal, what did Jesus revealed about it?

Jesus said “All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out.”

Jesus said “No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day.”

Jesus said “He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.”

Jesus said “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me has everlasting life.”

If you have any thing that you don’t understand in what Jesus said there, as pertains to salvation (unto eternal life), please do not hesitate to ask. I am pretty sure, many here could try to help out.

Stubborn believers will in fact go "under the lash". How did you forget this? You've said it many times. And as we can see in the passage it's so we will be what you say happens "naturally" and "will take care of itself", which obviously doesn't always happen naturally, and so God's lash is necessary. I wish my experience with sin was the way you say it is. It's hardly been that. I've spent a lot of time just sitting before God in defeat, relying on Him. And one thing I will not let people do is shame me for God being successful in changing me.

Doesn't Christianity mean more to you than just having correct doctrine? Isn't the more important thing that you not sin against people? Yes, we all sin, don't even bother going there. Would you say it is possible that God will fail to achieve that purpose for disciplining His children? A simple yes or no would be enough. Now if after a yes or no, and you feel like explaining why, that would be nice as well.
