I think we may be entering the great tribulation. I see them in the process of installing the mark of the beast system. I think there's a good possibility that I'll see a major war, or at least limited action from superpowers against each other.
I will be surprised if I don't witness possibly the untimely death of perhaps billions of people. I think western society is on the verge of collapse and I wouldn't be surprised to see a large meteor strike.
I believe that we are living in the last days of the end of the age of grace. I'm looking forward to the grand finale!

So what then do you see as your responsibility, it your personal priority when considering these issues?

I minister to the Lord day and night; I cry out to the Lord for revival; I go outside my townhouse and praise the Lord, I'm hearing that the neighbors are hearing what I'm singing, which is the gospel; and I'm an active member of this community.
Oh, yeah, I'm preparing to become an active worship leader again, Lord willing!

I see the increasing determined push for global vaccination as a 'litmus test' for control before the big move to dominate any semblance of freedom won by previous generations. I reflect on scenes from Orwell's 1984, amazed at the parallel.
I also see a phase of the Gospel message building steam which is addressing the false charges against God by God's 'own people'.

As my eyes are opened to the immeasurable immensity of God's love for the inhabitants of Earth I continually seek wisdom, discernment and an instructed tongue along with the capacity to genuinely love those I come in contact with. I am not finding it an easy task to share what burns in my bones when ears are indifferent or opposed or even 'very nice'.

Being removed from the mainstream geographically has in many ways made living in these stressful times, particularly for folk in more populated areas, less stressful, for which I grateful.

I notice the love of many growing cold.....replaced with a pseudo love, both those close and those distant. It appears men have no anchor.

Ditto brother. The coldness has somewhat even creeped into my heart lately :( Things are so grim and the blind have no clue, many Christians too.
The desire to move back out into the country is something I want badly but, am back and forth on that as, we are to be content in any situation...even prison (Paul?) Do not like where I am now but have been back and forth as to put the house on the market or not. Very indecisive.
Prayer is pretty much my go to for this world, the church and the confused. Soup kitchens and pantry's is where my time is spent but, not allot of opportunities, since Covid, to see the clients one on one anymore. I am even forgetting some of their names.
This walk isn't easy, for sure but...it will be worth it.

The time is coming when the cities will be too dangerous in which to live. You've had a taste with riots etc not that long ago, and that was in a nation wherein the majority still cherish law and order. What will become of society when Satan takes full control and demons walk the streets in open sight and the general populace no longer care for anyone except self preservation, and are willing to go to any lengths to provide for themselves as a result of food shortages, breakdown of the financial system, no benefits, and widespread civil disobedience?

Be assured Nancy, the ratcheting up of difficulties has begun in earnest....and it will not abate for long. We will be challenged everywhere we go even in isolated areas, however, the intensity will be focused in the most populated areas....I see it happening here in Oz.
Forty years ago I anticipated these things and secured the small parcel of land I now live on.
Foresight re building events even at this late hour will not be a cause for regret.

Understood and agreed brother, perhaps staying in the populous area here will hasten my meeting the Lord :) IF per chance, I do get to see Him. Sure do not love my life unto death. Only so much this gal can do with shoulder, feet and back injuries. Having one shoulder replaced on the 27th, the other one after that one heals. Accidents in the 80's have come to bite me.

I'm interested in how Christians here are responding, and what you see is your first priority during these times when the world is confused and fearful at what is taking place.
My first priority is to Praise Him every moment...and with that is to keep my eyes on Him. I won't allow fear to consume me because this world is not what I live for.
I also am compelled to gently push others to get a relationship with Him now while they still can.
Sharing my testimony when I can.

I think we may be entering the great tribulation.
I don't think we are quite there yet. Jesus spoke of the beginning of sorrows in which there are wars, strife, pestilence, earthquakes, tidal waves, storms etc, all increasing in frequency and in intensity. I think that's where we are. It's going to get a lot worse. I certainly believe those four angels are loosening their grip on the winds of strife. I actually believe that this covid thing with it's lockdowns and restrictions, is God offering His people an opportunity. He's saying," I've locked you away from your golf courses, your theaters, your favorite restaurants, your bowling alleys and sports stadiums, your vacations and your sight seeing and your pleasure seeking, fun parks, and thrill rides. Have I got your attention yet?" Which thought inspired this thread topic. So now you are stuck at home and have all these restrictions and that's being made against your freedoms and even your independent health choices, what are you doing about it? The choices are many, but there's only one right one.
I see them in the process of installing the mark of the beast system
I agree with the above, that the mechanisms for enforcing any kind of legislation are probably already sufficiently implemented to enforce religious worship in accordance with what will become the popular demand of all nations. Yes, you read right. Think about that in relation to Revelation 13.

I think im just being called to survive for now
John the Baptist, king David, the apostle Paul, and Jesus Himself and numerous others such as Jonah (who was in lockdown in a fish) and Elijah, spent time in the wilderness. It was there they reconnected with their God, and were empowered to continue the fight. I remember 45 years ago God sent me to a city in NZ to work and live. I didn't know Him at the time, I didn't go there in obedience, but mere providence. It was there, where I had no family, no friends, and yet had all I thought I needed, that Jesus came and found me. What I'm saying in this thread to all Christians everywhere... Don't waste this opportunity. It may be your last.

Hello Blacklit,

Hardly ever watch the news.

(If I watched the news every morning when getting up it would just be a bunch of things of the world itself that doesn't much feed the spirit, it is unfortunate for people who have problems in our nation USA, or any other nation for that matter because the whole world itself: Is filled with Gods Creations who are living and making choices freely on their own according even down to what is presented on the television screen ( Do watch tv sometimes but not the news very rarely).

The world has been reconciled to God, and there are many choices for individuals to make.

Understanding that there is no escaping death which come with-in a certain amount of time often has people searching for the things in the world to bring them happiness that may be fleeting after the moment of obtaining it, may lead them to the light that shines through the darkness.

Thank you for reading,
With Love in Christ,
Matthew G.

I think that in these times of uncertainty... Oh my goodness, I'm sounding like an ad for social distancing and masking... Cancel and reboot...

In these times of societal decay, rebellion, wickedness and satanic opposition to and war against the principles of righteousness and God's people...aaah, better... The Christian's priority I believe is to reassess his relationship with God. There are times coming the likes of which have never before been experienced by humankind. We are at the cusp of history. The greatest event ever to be experienced by man is about to take place in our lifetime... The second coming of Jesus to take His bride home. But is His bride ready? Are you ready? Am I ready? Are we ready for the company of angels who are holy and know only one way to live... By love and service? Are we prepared character wise to stand before a holy God and be in His unveiled presence without being destroyed by the light and fire of His deity?
KJV Isaiah 33:14-15
14 The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?
15 He that walketh righteously, and speaketh uprightly; he that despiseth the gain of oppressions, that shaketh his hands from holding of bribes, that stoppeth his ears from hearing of blood, and shutteth his eyes from seeing evil.

Are we ready for glory? Or are we like Lot's wife, half hearted, halting between two opinions, not knowing or procrastinating between serving God, or chasing after the pleasures and idols of this world? Are we cold, but prepared to acknowledge our coldness and repent... Are we hot and on fire, with a passion and burden for the lost within our families and neighborhoods... Or are we merely lukewarm and despite professing to have faith, are fit only to be spewed out of the Lord's mouth.
I started out here on this forum known as Brakelite. I wouldn't mind that name back... That's what I want to do. Be a warning for those around me to sit up and take notice. Heed the warning signs. Look around you and take stock of where you are, because there are dangers coming and it's no time to presume your former confessions of faith are sufficient to see you through the coming crisis.
Time to spend time with Jesus.

Time to spend time with Jesus.

Soon there will be no need to watch the news in order to know what is taking place in the world. The crisis of the coming evil will be at your doorstep soon enough. You will but need to step outside to witness the war against righteousness. Now we have a window of opportunity. We can still share the gospel to our neighbors and friends and family. Eventually, they too will betray us. But their blood will not be required at your hand for you have warned them.

We are definitely on the road. I agree we are not in it, though I think we are so close that this could change almost overnight.
