Might I have an opportunity to redeem myself from side-stepping?

Could you point to some of these threats or are they something you experienced outside of the threads that are currently ongoing with regard to this matter?

To be fair, Isaiah is known as the Gospel prophet and may have been looking for a divine Messiah.

(I know that this might suggest some kind of neo-dispensationalism, but I'm not at all sure we're not comparing oranges with apples when we try to use Old Testament prophets to defend unitarianism.)

you gotta get up pretty early in the morning to fool ole Barney fife!

I usually like to ask questions myself

I will speak. The ramifications of what you seem to conclude from John 8:24 make God appear unjust. You seem to be implying that any Jew today who does not know and follow Christ as Messiah is lost. How can you judge hearts from a single verse? This is one instance in which the context reveals that he was not addressing the nation as a whole. Do you not know that the grace of God which leadeth to salvation hath appeared to all men? And that many millions, perhaps billions have never even heard the name of Christ. Yet His blood covers the sins of all who have responded positively to the Holy Spirit, regardless of their cultural or geographical handicap?
His name is not simply a word formed by physical lips, tongue and vocal chords. People who cannot read and people who are unable to talk can be saved! What is meant when it said "gathered in my name"? It is not speaking about a word formed by our own physical lips, certainly!

That is not what I have learned from my studies of the scriptures.....In the Hebrew writings the most frequent occurrence of the expression is in the book of Ezekiel, where over 90 times God addresses the prophet as “son of man.” (Ezekiel 2:1,3,6,8) The designation apparently serves to emphasize that the prophet is simply an earthling, highlighting the contrast between the human spokesman and the Source of his message, the Most High God.

The same designation is applied to the prophet Daniel at Daniel 8:17. A son of man is simply that.

In the Gospel accounts the expression is found nearly 80 times, applying in every case to Jesus Christ, being used by him to refer to himself. (Matthew 8:20; 9:6; 10:23)

This expression showed that God’s Son was now indeed 100% mortal human, having ‘become flesh’ (John 1:14), having ‘come to be out of a woman’ through his conception and birth to the Jewish virgin Mary. (Galatians 4:4; Luke 1:34-36)
Jesus had not simply materialized a human body as angels had previously done when carrying out their earthly missions; he was not an incarnation, but was actually a ‘son of mankind’ through his human mother. He had to be a genuine sinless human, not a sinful son of Adam, in order to redeem mankind.

Not quite.

Daniel 7:13
I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him.

The Names and Titles of Messiah by Dr. Arnold Fruchtenbaum. A messianic Bible study. (messianicassociation.org)

Why is Jesus Called the "Son of Man"? — Knowing Scripture

while it does speak of His humanity, it is also a Messianic title when jesus used it especially in JOhn. The two links are one from a gentile believer and the other from a Jewish believer.

THE SON OF MAN | Jewish Awareness Ministries

One thing I love abou tthe video series "the chosen" Is that for the first time on film, when jesus uses the title (it is a title as well as a simple description) the Pharisees immediately recognize i a Jesus proclaiming Himself the Messiah, the son of god!

The apostles were anointed with God's Spirit and so, like Jesus, were aware of people's thoughts and motives.
That's a nice presupposition you got there.
So when this couple lied to Peter, they could not lie to the Holy Spirit in him. That is tantamount to lying to God.
Distinction without a difference?

That is a nonsensical statement.

Isaiah said the son given is the mighty god

In other words, Isaiah did not even mention Jesus or the Messiah. Isaiah was a monotheist and you have to look at his words in that context.

What is nonsensical is the trinitarian imposing their doctrine on unitarian text.
