I don't believe that... I think way too much emphasis is placed on the GIFTS... and not enough on SERVING others.... the gifts follow the need... and God is in control of it all.

Indeed. You would be correct. Even the enemy will flee at the sound of these words. And yes they can be spoken, or prayed or sung, from under the bed. Peal these words back a bit, and it can easily be seen, whom it is, that planted the seed for the current disbelief. Imagine for a moment, how many battles could be won, how many people could be set free, how many people would be healed by a church(His Church) praying as One in The Spirit.

And this is how I received the Gift of Tongues.
1. Believe it is The Lord's will for you to have this gift.(Faith)
2. Go ask Him in prayer for this gift. (Let your petition be known to God)
3.Thank Him for giving you this gift.(Faith)
4. Now go out do something you have never done.
This Gift was there all along as He was there all along.
Hope someone hears this. I thank Paul Christensen for this, as he is a good teacher concerning the gift of tongues.

I have a tongue, in fact I have a couple. Seems to me we all have at least one tongue.....question is what do we use it for?

New tongues is all I get out of that. I don’t know if that means earthly language or language of angels. I love your avatar by the way. I live in the woods and want one of those things for a pet. Domesticate Raccoons Now!!!

Perhaps a good place to simply talk with God. We have what God has given us. People too often do not want to discuss things but rather to insist on things. God is the only One always in a place where He could insist if He would but...If you want me, I'll be under my bed...praying in tongues!

Why discuss when it's easier to promote one's agenda by twisting another's words than face the uncomfortable prospect of change!
Unfortunately there is too much truth in your words that many men will not hear or consider! Maybe you are also speaking in an unknown tongue even now... unknown to many men, anyway. What does God think about it?
