Well, what do you do with this verse, which basically says that Jesus will not touch the ground?
1Thess4:16 and 17
16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
Surely you're not serious.
Just because you do not see any phrase in 1 Thessalonians 4 that says Jesus' feet touch down upon the Mount of Olives, then it means to disregard anywhere else in God's Word that DOES say it? like here...
Zech 14:4-5
4 And His feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.
5 And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the LORD my God shall come, and all the saints with Thee.

The 1 Thessalonians 4 Scripture aligns with the Zechariah 14 Scripture, it's just that Zech.14 gives us more information about the event of Jesus' coming and gathering of His Church. If you feel Zech.14 contradicts 1 Thess.4, then maybe you should consider who you've been listening to that has created your confusion.
