...and most of those conservative values you speak of above are predominently coming from a Republican point of view. You could blame the media or the fact that christians in your country are not spirit filled but I am discerning a dream which @Mayflower has related. Whether my discernment on this matter is correct or not, I will leave to @Mayflower as it should resonate in her inner being, whether what I have said is from the Holy Spirit or not. Blessings to you and Peace from God!

So I spelt resonate wrong. So what, I spell words wrong all the time because most of the time I have difficulty seeing due to long hours of working on nightshift. I don't think NZ has lost much with that "no vote of confidence". She wouldn't have got back in anyway....Jm2c :)

Here is a funny....
Back over a hundred years ago the democrats were a very conservative party...and the Democrats and Republicans kind of switched platforms...Abraham Lincoln was a Republican. Then up to the 50's the democrats were Christians and patriots. Those Democrats do not exist as politicians or voters anymore~~~

I have asked at various churches --- Sunday Schools how a Christian can vote for a democrat? I generally get the deer in the headlights look.... Most do not have an answer or do not want to answer. Some say it has been the way their families have voted. Some of the older folks say they think that the Democrats are the labor party, for the normal or average working man. The deer in the headlights look, a lot of times is because they do not want to answer. A strong desire for the legalization of drugs or they believe in abortion or feel that homosexually should not be condemned. The desire for drugs can be so strong that they could be in chains and our country turned to communism as long as they could have their drugs. More or less to make evil socially acceptable.

Again a funny, Trump did more for the working man and the American way of life and values than any Democrat that ever lived....He did not support the social parasites or criminals or drug users much, but for the working blacks, home ownership and education was on the rise during his administration. The Democrats now want to steal the souls of the minorities....rewarding people that have no morals or desire to work for what they got. Just give them everything and allow drugs so the populous is sedated. Allowing illegal aliens to get a free pass and support for the criminals all at the expense of hard working Americans. Over the last 30 years their new initiative has been to decimate the voting system. Voter fraud, cheating, kicking observers out, not allowing law enforcement to be present, covering the windows, and not requiring voter ID's and they are about to pass a law in New York state were non-citizens can vote. And the courts up to and including the supreme court has given them the thumbs up for all of that.

The United State is the last beacon of light to resist Satan and he and his agents are attempting to take it down...destroying our values, our culture, and a straight on attack on Christianity. Time to take it back!

As far as dreams....I have had more people ask me questions about that lately. Is there a new interest in it? I am not well versed in dream interpretation....and most of my dreams are stupid.

So I would like to see more of those that have interesting dreams share those experiences and those that can interpret them should share. I think it would be very interesting.

One time I had this dream I was riding in a monorail on a subway. I was speeding through the darkness. Looking out the window, I saw two men arguing at the top of their lungs over politics. One was a Democrat and the other was a Republican. Then the dream flashed and I was sitting on a wooden chair. I opened my Bible and it was like a pop-up of two people with the Words of God written over them. They were arguing and yelling at the top of their lungs on what the scriptures meant.

Regardless of what anyone thinks about dreams, this had a pretty profound impact on me. How often is what we say and do as Christians like that of the world? I can hardly stand politics, so I am thinking if I was an unbeliever, if I saw Christians arguing like that over the Bible, I would be putting it down. This is what unbelievers see quite often though. An average trip to a Christian forum shows a plethora of beliefs and debate. Christians are divided in pretty much everything. It isn't the differences in beliefs as much as it is the attitude toward one another that is bothersome. Christians tear other Christians apart about things that matter little from an eternal perspective.

Romans 12:2 says, "And do not be conformed to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you will be able to prove what the will of God is, that which is good, and acceptable, and perfect." Presenting our bodies as a living and Holy sacrifice is what matters in regards to eternity. What fruits of the spirit shine in your life? What spiritual gifts does Romans 12 talk about that you are using for the kingdom of God? The transformation that people see in believers is what will matter in the long run. Living by God's Word is what will speak louder then words.

Then there is 1 Peter 3:15- "But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect..." As Christians, should we be able to defend what we believe? Yes. But with our transformed minds and embolden spirits, do we need to backbite, gossip, and explain the why in a demeaning way? Not according to 1 Peter 3:15. Sometimes it may be as Jesus had to do, flipping over tables in the temple, but by no means are we to look like the world. The difference is Jesus finished it. Actions speak louder then words. Christians need to shut up and get up. I say that with all gentleness and respect, to myself as well.

I leave with this thought, 1 John 1:7 in Amplified: "but if we [really] walk in the Light [that is, live each and every day in conformity with the precepts of God], as He Himself is in the Light, we have [true, unbroken] fellowship with one another [He with us, and we with Him], and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin [by erasing the stain of sin, keeping us cleansed from sin in all its forms and manifestations]." Walking in the precepts of God is the best way to prove the will of God. Whatever is going on in the world, the answer is still growing closer to God and growing in understanding of His Word. Present the Truth in love, church! Don't look like the world or be distracted by it!
I knew a baseball bat with spikes in it wouldn't do it! :)

I read good wisdom yesterday from someone. Just really encouraged me. She said if God has given us assurance in any form be it in thought or word, we should not shrink from telling others, but be prepared, if it be His will, to make it known.

I've been taught that faith is confident assurance. It just touched my heart and the other things she said. Discernment with dreams is going to take awhile to get. There is a lot of spiritual warfare involved and I'm a very emotional person too. I know when God is speaking to me personally, but to others I have less discernment. For being lead to share, I have put my foot in my mouth. Believing certain things too about dreams... Not everything is meant to be shared. Prophetically I can't interpret much, because I really do not know much about news/politics/Catholicism/the world. I'm a very non confrontational person, so just stay out of it. Seems easier to not take sides except I want to know Bible deeper theologically. But it is harder to have that confident assurance/confirmation when I really don't research stuff out. I get scared easy though, so it becomes a stumbling block. Interpretations can be explained and I can even think something is right, but Idk. Confirmation with witnesses is important. I made a lot of mistakes with sharing my dreams. And which dreams are God dreams. I just don't feel I can handle looking into things deeper besides the Word of God. I have to develop the spirit of power, love, and sound mind God has given me and fight the spirit of fear. But I don't want to share too many dreams publicly. I want to pray for awhile. It is going to take time. But I do have confident assurance with some dreams, like this one, that God is speaking/teaching.

The spirit of division is the main thing I got out of this dream. And the wisdom that we need to look different from the World, be transformed by the Word.

Well, I didn't mean to offend, but Post #59 paints the Christian Right as solely/primarily the problem, which is to sympathize with the same polarization that actually IS the biggest part of the problem, IMO. But I have little problem in anyone offering a different interpretation. Looks like we'll just to have to agree to disagree on this one is all.

Don't assume this, Grailhunter. :) I have considerable experience here, and as a rule, the stranger (i.e. or more "stupid") a dream is the greater likelihood that it's from the Lord. The reason is because He has this way of making things really stick out in your mind so you will remember them. When I have a dream that makes no real impression on me, I ignore it. But if one really sticks in my head and stands out in some way, I will seek God about it. He is our Creator after all, and when it comes to dreams He is as creative as they come.

Let me share with you something another member at a different forum told me just the other day. She is also an interpreter, and this verifies what I am telling you. When I asked her how often she does interpretation work, her answer was as follows:

Only if the Lord tells me the interpretation. I do so love to hear peoples’ dreams. I do find the Lord speaks through dreams - not all dreams but, a person will know when it’s a special dream. A man once said, “I’ve had a crazy dream. A cow eating cheese. That’s nuts! Cows don’t eat cheese!” I started laughing (I do love to laugh) and said, “Oh silly, it’s about your business. You’re company is eating it’s profits….like a cow would eat cheese. Your company is being wasteful, you need to streamline. Watch your bottom line.” Dreams are wonderful! I’m so glad Jesus gives us dreams!

So don't assume that just because a dream is illogical or seems ridiculous it is not from God. The exact opposite could actually be true.

Most are mainline denominationalists, such as Catholics, Presbyterians, Lutherans, Methodists, and Baptists.

An innocent question here... So for you, these Denominations aren't Spirit-filled?

I now belong to an Episcopal church and before that was raised Catholic, I can assure you, I am Spirit-filled, even though I do not speak in tongues or pray in tongues. It is by the Spirit that I am able to stay calm while being told that I am not a Christian on these very forums. It is the very Spirit that brings to my mind things to say when I do not have the words to say myself.

Oh, no. I don't mean that. There are Spirit-filled members from some of those denominations at this forum, in fact, one of which is Catholic. I just meant that the mainline denominational churches, as a rule anyway, don't generally engage in Spirit-filled services where the supernatural gifts are in operation (there are some exceptions, however). But that doesn't mean that such denominations don't contain members who engage in them in their own private lives.

If you are a believer, never let anyone tell you that you are not. Anyone who truly loves God wouldn't be caught dead telling one of His children this.

@Naomanos

So you understand, being Spirit-filled and being born again of incorruptible seed are two different things. Hence my last statement about not letting anyone tell you that you do not belong to God and are not governed by His Spirit. Having the word in you is like a glass with water in it. Being Spirit-filled is like having someone pour water into that glass until it overflows. Same Spirit, just a matter of extent is all.

Well thanks HIM,
Please stay on this. It looks like it might be useful.

I have had some reoccurring dreams....and most are almost cartoon like.

Catfish in the Mercantile Bank lobby.
I am in the lobby of the Mercantile Bank and sometimes I am in line for the teller sometimes I am filing out paperwork at one of those raised tables in the lobby. There is four feet of muddy water everywhere. The ceiling is about 30 feet tall and the windows are five feet wide and 15 feet tall and they are all around the building. It is sunny out, the sun seems to be in the morning above the horizon and seems to be circling the building every couple of minutes, producing a lot of moving shadows, but also glare off of the gold and silver fixtures. The front door is one of those turnstiles. Not in the water because you have to walk in and go down some steps into the lobby. So we had to walk down into the water.

Everybody is going about their business like this is normal. But they understand that I do not think it is normal because they keep reassuring me that everything is ok. The people are not saying anything to me that could be meaningful. Everybody is dressed in 19th century dress attire, suites and such. My only big concern are my new hunting boots.

So I am standing in line in four foot of water, looking at the Teller behind black rod iron bars, early 19th century style. Then I realize that the Teller is a very well dressed, man-sized cat....what I call golden stripped cat. 19th century style clothes with a cigar smoking in an ashtray. There is one of those large 19th century golden cash registers there to the Teller's left. He is not in the water because other well dressed animals are walking around behind him....not in water....going about their jobs.

I notice a swirl in the water between me and the guy in front of me and suddenly a catfish's head pops out of the water looking at me. He has a smoking pipe in his mouth....that is apparently not affected by the water.

I say to him, "What are you doing here?
He replies, "What are you doing here? You do realize that you are standing in water and your wallet is wet?"
I instinctively touched my hip pocket, but then I know that my paycheck and everything was wet and I wondered if they were going to accept a wet check.
So while I was contemplating this the catfish goes back to swimming in a circles in front of me. He does not have clothes on. So I start thinking about what he could have to give to the Teller or where he would put anything that he would get from the Teller.
So I ask the catfish, "Where do you keep your money? Do you have a wallet?"
He looks at me like I am dumb and says, "It is in my stomach. Were else?" and he looks over at the Teller and says, "He scares me." ....a cat LOL
I just nod my head. So I stand there a while and eventually ask him, "What do you do with money?"
Again he looks at me like I am dumb and replies, "I keep it in the river bank."
I chuckle and reply, "No what do you spend it on?"
He replies, "Fish futures."
Again I chuckle and had to ask, "What is fish futures?"
He explains that it is wagers on the death of things.
I say, "What?"
He replies, "I eat dead things on the bottom of the river."
I cringe and say, "Yuck!"
And so he gets a little huffy and asks, "Oh really, what do you eat that is alive?"
I chuckle again and replied, "I guess not a lot."
He then says, "We are a lot a like, we both live off of death." And he seems to notice my clothes and asks, "Why aren't you wearing fancy clothes?"
I said, "I am not doing anything fancy."
He says, "Everything is fancy. And then he askes why people wash their clothes?"
"Cause we do not want to stink, I answered.
"Well you all stink anyway! I can smell everything. If you all did not wash your clothes, you all would stink and it would just be normal."
OK, I replied and then asked, "Why are you concerned about people washing their clothes?"
He replies, "They use clean water to wash their clothes. They are wasting clean water and they stink anyway."

There are other fish in the lobby. We never move in line and the catfish and I never get to the Teller....and the dream ends. I have had this dream reoccur.

So now I have broke the ice on silly dreams so others can share. I find no meaning in this dream and I just wake up chuckling. The dreams do deviate a little.

Holy cow! This is recurring? :p Good heavens, LoL.

Well, there's something obviously here then, but I bet even my interpreter friend would need a little time with this one... Just reading it now, and that's the type I would back up on and need some revelation on after seeking Him in prayer, and no telling what's going on in my life today. My wife is home and after me about stuff, so my time isn't exactly mine at present, but let me see what I can't discern when I can get some free time here and there...

Not in water... ah... ok, you know, this could be a dream about the banks taking over and assuming more and more property and power as the economy slowly deteriorates and inflation causes more and more people to default on their loans. The Teller and those with him are not "under water" like you and those in line are, and the phrase...

Yeah, see I just went and looked it up, and according to one article on investing:

"Underwater" is the term for a financial contract or asset that is worth less than its notional value. This item could be an out-of-the-money call option where the stock currently trades above the option's strike price. More commonly though, the term is used in relation to a house, or another substantial asset, which has an outstanding mortgage or loan on the asset that is a larger amount than what the asset is worth. In either case, the holder has an asset without intrinsic value. In the case of the mortgage or loan, the holder of the asset actually owes more than the asset is worth.
What Does Underwater Mean in Finance?

Told you silly dreams aren't always so silly. :)

I'm gonna check out for a bit, but this is the heart of the interpretation to your dream right here. The rest is simply filling in the pieces. I could guess at some of the other symbolism now as well, but how about if I leave it up to you and others to see if you can figure some things out. Like my friend said, this sort of thing can be fun... even if the meaning really isn't. I do know the Spirit has prophesied warnings about staying out of debt now, lest Christians become slaves to the banks, so this dream is more confirmation of what the Spirit is saying to the churches.

I'll be back, and thanks for sharing your "crazy" dream. ;)
