Paul is of that view.
Philippians 3:11
Philippians 3:12
Philippians 3:13
Philippians 3:14

The key to understanding this passage is, I think, in the words, being made conformable to His death. He's telling us, he's not there yet. And a few verses later, he says,

Philippians 3:20-21 YLT
20) For our citizenship is in the heavens, whence also a Saviour we await—the Lord Jesus Christ—
21) who shall transform the body of our humiliation to its becoming conformed to the body of his glory, according to the working of his power, even to subject to himself the all things.

He doesn't seem to show any hesitancy there.

Philippians 1:3-7 YLT
3) I give thanks to my God upon all the remembrance of you,
4) always, in every supplication of mine for you all, with joy making the supplication,
5) for your contribution to the good news from the first day till now,
6) having been confident of this very thing, that He who did begin in you a good work, will perform it till a day of Jesus Christ,
7) according as it is righteous for me to think this in behalf of you all, because of my having you in the heart, both in my bonds, and in the defence and confirmation of the good news, all of you being fellow-partakers with me of grace.

Is his confidence for them misplaced?

Philippians 1:21-23 YLT
21) for to me to live is Christ, and to die gain.
22) And if to live in the flesh is to me a fruit of work, then what shall I choose? I know not;
23) for I am pressed by the two, having the desire to depart, and to be with Christ, for it is far better,

And again, no lack in confidence here.

Philippians 4:21-22 YLT
21) Salute ye every saint in Christ Jesus; there salute you the brethren with me;
22) there salute you all the saints, and specially those of Caesar's house;

The Spirit testifies with our spirit that we are the children of God. Do you have that testimony?

Much love!

OSAS is Part and partial of Calvinism. It very much a minority view though out church history.

I agree.
But not throughout church history.
Calvinism was based on some ideas of Augustine, 400AD, but the reformed faith began in 1500AD.
I don't entirely agree that OSAS is a minority view. It is taught by almost ALL mainstream modern churches that I know of as well as TV pastors/preachers, Christian radio personalities, etc. I have considered it a mainstream teaching for many years now. It's one reason I don't attend any churches in my neck o' the woods.

It doesn't mean that Paul himself didn't even know he was saved yet. He himself penned among the most wondrous words of assurance for the true believer; Romans 8, for example.

Paul means in Philippians 3.14 that he has not yet arrived at all he has to do as regards the high calling of God in Christ Jesus: there is always more service to render while the Lord keeps us here, even as we rest in the finished work of Christ and not in our efforts.

The narrow gate

And it is nto just calvinism. That is the mistake many make, they are angry against the thought of eternal security because they are against calvinism.

One can be against calvinism and still believe in eternal security.
Your last sentence is correct...
However...
OSAS DOES come from calvinism and did Not exist in christian theology until 1500AD

Why would this not have existed in the church till then??

Please explain better
But my reply won't be till tomorrow...
Sorry.
The idea of forfeiting salvation belongs to those who never had it. What Paul in Romans calls 'the obedience of faith' and 'obedience to the faith' belongs properly to those who do indeed believe, not to those who keep trying to produce supposedly enough works in order to become believers.

I believe in eternal security in a sense. I don't believe my every sin disqualifies me for heaven. But I also don't believe we CAN NOT deny Christ is we choose to. We are secure unless we choose to throw away our security.
There's just too much scripture evidence for people falling away into false belief.

Your own words evidence a wishy washy view.
Sitting on the fence post is not having security.

Excellent "key" words of God's ETERNAL Salvation! And This Because HIS
"FINISHED Work On The CROSS" IS: ALL SUFFICIENT!
Amen?

Did not JESUS HIMSELF Declare This Very Thing?: "It Is FINISHED!"
(John 19:30)

hmmm...
Of course, those who are "in THEIR OWN efforts" DON'T need, or even want THIS,
eh?
John 19.30 there is indeed another great verse....

ONCE saved, a person IS secure. Period.

Kind of, in a sense, fence sitting, is not security. It’s wishy washy and spouted by the same who stand AGAINST, the Lords Word.

Exactly. Assurance is not assurance if all it does is promoted doubt and uncertainty. The believer rests in the finished work of Christ; John 19.30; Hebrews ch.s 9 and 10.

Sure today it's mainstream. I said historically it's a minority view.

Of course the BELIEVER rests in Christ. The one who once believed doesn't. It's odd that people can read all the biblical warnings about apostasy and then pretend it's impossible.

1 The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons.

12 See to it, brothers and sisters, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God.

13 Those on the rocky ground are the ones who receive the word with joy when they hear it, but they have no root. They believe for a while, but in the time of testing they fall away.

At my last "count" nosas has 16 cherry-picked
Obscure/Difficult/Dubious verses for their interpretation of "falling away"?

How about God's 12-DOZEN Plain and Clear Scriptures FOR:
God's FREE Gift Of ETERNAL Salvation???:

God's OPERATION On All HIS New-born babes In CHRIST!
God's Eternal Assurance

Ok, so I am no Different IF I "cherry-picked" Them?

At LEAST, hopefully According to This Bible "study" Rule:

(6) The Best "Interpretive" Commentary On The Bible Is :
The BIBLE Itself!

NEVER ever interpret The Many Plain Scriptures
by the "few" difficult verses, But, ALWAYS Always
Interpret
the few Obscure/Difficult/Dubious verses
By ALL Of The MANY Plain and Clear Passages Of
God’s Pure And Holy Word!

Amen?
How about we just read it as it's written instead of making it say what we want it to say?
13 Those on the rocky ground are the ones who receive the word with joy when they hear it, but they have no root. They believe for a while, but in the time of testing they fall away.

And why would any sane Christian "throw away" eternal security? I find this discussion about the loss of salvation laughable. Salvation includes the New Birth (regeneration) so just as a newborn baby cannot re-enter his mother's womb, a child of God cannot be unborn. And no genuinely regenerated child of God would wish to go back to his or her sinful ways. So the only issue is how God deals with those children of His who sin, and how they themselves are supposed to deal with their sins. And there is plenty of Scripture for that.
Really? You are never tempted? C'mon man!
Let's be real.
