Hey everyone!

I’ll be popping in and out as often as I need. I have a ton of questions for my Protestant friends and I don’t really have any place to go with those questions. I also love the spirit Protestants carry with them and their passionate love for Christ. I hope to learn a lot here.

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (or Mormon) in the heart of Utah so I dont have a lot of exposure to Christians that are not Mormon. I have tried hopping on A couple different Christian forums now but many of them have strict rules saying I couldn’t participate because I wasn’t their definition of a Christian. We consider ourselves to be Christian, but acknowledge there is a line of people who are ready to tell me otherwise.

I understand keeping a community of faithful members is important and should moderators feel they don’t want me here, I get it .

I’m not here seeking to convert anyone, I just want to further understand the Protestant faiths and their views on the gospel. Should anyone want to debate or discuss in detail my faith, I’ll respect all rules and keep those conversations to the apologetics and debate sections of the forum.

Welcome Fether,
I am of the line that would tell you otherwise, But I do appreciate your honesty and would be willing to answer your questions. I was Born a Lutheran raised a Baptist and am non-denominational now, with a Baptist slant.

Hello friend @Fether !

I’ve been on here for several years, as a very open LDS Christian. Most of the people here are good Christians, many of them very good Christians.

This site only requires you to love Christ to be a Christian. There’s a bunch of non-Trinitarians, Trinitarians, and about anything you can think of.

Ps: Utah is still a crazy place to live

Since it has been proven conclusively that the native inhabitants (Native American Indians) share no genetic connections (Marker's) to the Jewish people's, that they journeyed over a land bridge:
Native American Land Bridge - 924 Words | Cram.
How does the Church of Jesus Christ of the latter day Saints account for this new information?

Not even a ‘ Hello ‘ before bouncing with the question, this is a welcome thread. Perhaps it may be better to start a new thread on the subject above

Telling others how they should respond and where they should respond, ventures onto thin ice regarding truth.

Oh come on, just suggesting that someone use a more appropriate thread to start up a discussion is hardly stopping someone from talking. And my comment about a lack of ‘ hello ‘ was an observation because this happened to be a welcoming thread, sorry for even thinking that it often involves saying ‘ hello ‘

Welcome Fether, Look forward to fellowship. Come with an open mind and an open heart, and a knowledge that there will be same people who will not treat you well, Knowing we all have those people against us, And you should do well!

its sad, That is not a good way to open up to someone, its a good way to get them to put their hands up and come out swinging because they feel attacked!

If you are looking for an answer (which it seems you have already decided what the answer is), feel free to read the following:

The Book of Mormon and the Origin of Native Americans from a Maternally Inherited DNA Standpoint - FAIR

DNA and the Book of Mormon - FAIR

Book of Mormon and DNA Studies

DNA - The CES Letter: A Closer Look

As mentioned above, this is not really the best forum for this conversation and I have no interest in rehashing conversations I had when I was a teenager.

I didn't just decide because of the little I know about the Church of Christ of Latter Day Saint's, it was apart of my research leading me out of the Mormon belief system that I followed for year's.
