If you believed that, you would not be talking about your sin.
You would be talking about your Savior.
Its a little late now, Bob, to try to fake it.
But you can try.
I believe in God's view, "integrity" means obeying the Lord's commandments. That is also my definition.

I wouldn’t know how to define integrity my first thought is that it involves the intuitive to do something.

How does one shed themselves of the sin nature?

One doesn’t.......James said that “ We ALL STUMBLE!” Paul confessed that even at the end of Of His walk of Faith that he “ had not attained the level that he desired to reach”..

Some present -day Delusional people think that they are better than James or Paul....the only thing that has been “ shed” is a brain, perhaps.....

He places His grace inside of us, and grace is the divine power of God - not unmerited favor. Grace grows. If unmerited favor grew we would keep on sinning expecting grace to abound. But read Romans 6:15-16

What us “ placed inside us” is the Holy Spirit.....do you think you can just go around defining things in the ways that line up,with your Delusional Doctrines.......Words actually have meanings—- Grace * IS* “unmerited favor” .....and I hate to break it to you,but “ Where sIn abounds , Grace abounds that much more”.........If you understood that Biblical Truth instead of fearing it , you would realize that it is the Key to a better behavior that comes from the heart—— which is the Only thing that counts with God .....it’s impossible to explain Grace to those to whom it has not been extended.....you’re gonna wish you had it some day......instead,you will be trying to impress God with your performance of Keeping the Law perfectly, 23/7 ......lol.....what a sad joke...You don’t do it....you Can’t do it and even if you could —— “ Christ is THE END of The Law for Righteousness” and “ By The Works Of The Law , NO MAN ( or silly woman) WILL BE JUSTIFIED......You promote nothing more than a False, Perverted” Gospel” —— read Gal1:8 to see your fate....

Thinking right, feeling right, relating right, acting right ....from the get go! = righteousness

The only “ Righteousness” that counts with God is the *IMPUTED” Righteousness that one gets by Believing Pauls Gospel , given to him by Jesus.....OUR “ Righteousness” is “ Filthy Rags”.... Anybody that wants to get to Heaven must be Perfect....it’s time some of you posters started checking into THAT also! “ You are to be PERFECT, even as your Father in Heaven is Perfect” .....

I would bet that you have never broken the Commandment in regard to Adultery and my hat is off to you for that .....BUT.....Jesus said if you ever harbored a Lustful Thought, you are as Guilty as an Adulterer in the eyes of God ......It would be wise to find the Grace that could get your sinful, lustful thoughts that we all have , covered....that would require Resting in the Gospel Of Grace.... 1Cor15:1-4

Living in ones head is akin to the knowledge of a computer.......spitting out anything if you hit the selected keys but devoid of any ability to relate.

If you think that what I posted is something that was just “ spit out”, you don’t know your Bible...I guess Jesus just “ spit it out “ too, didn’t he ?

I think the sin nature is like an addiction that is born the first time we sin, and grows as we sin more. I think we get rid of it by repenting of our sin.

We've all sinned. Shouldn't we stop?

We won’t stop sinning until we die, and leave this flesh. @Bob Estey. A Christian in their life may sin less, but they won’t be fleshly perfect sinless like Jesus on the cross was.

Yes.....we should, but we can’t ......not as long as we reside in these weak bodies of flesh.....we’ll know Perfection “ over there”.......We had all better get us some Grace to cover our sins to assure us that we will make it to “ over there “......It will elude you until you learn how to Rest in the Gospel Of Grace......you can find it in 1Cor15:1-4......
