Certainly helps! Though I’m sure print in general eg on food packets…it’s surely all definitely smaller than it used to be!

@Goldie75 As regards Bible editions, what is easier to read, print-wise, is more likely to read more often....
100% the Bible version you read and fellowship with God richly in is the best version. For me large clear print has become essential this last year…age is catching up with me it feels!
Print size an issue; one that is overlooked; and like you say, @Goldie75 , the years go by so fast....
I think it is overlooked. It’s more important than the paper used, binding etc..etc…When I look back at some of the bibles I’ve had previously I don’t know how I read them - tiny print, cluttered pages. I’m all for ease and simplicity these days. Plus I prefer to simply read my Bible and pray…I don’t want to stop and cross reference every 5 seconds…for me at the moment this just distracts me and gets in the way of absorbing what the Holy Spirit is quickening to me. I’ve completely changed how I go about it and my experience is much the richer for it.
@Goldie75 Well, a few years ago I used a smaller print edition and it didn't bother me at all....but now it does.....
It’s happened in the last 12 months for me. I’ve had to buy some reading glasses from the chemist.
Yes, well it does come on quickly; I myself have gotten pairs of reading glasses recently....
So…a month into my new bible and here’s my take on ultra long ribbons for anyone who’s remotely interested!
The length is really helpful. It allows the ribbons to be generously looped at the top of the book so as not to restrict movement of the pages, or damage to the pages through the ribbons digging in.
Also, the ribbons can be positioned in such a way when closing the book you’re currently in, to remind you of which chapter you were last on.
So, I’m glad I didn’t cut them, but if I did, I would use Pearl’s suggestion of cutting at a 45 degree angle to limit fraying.

Content - 100% But for me also, how to go about accessing the content is important- it’s a big book!
@Goldie75 I imagine for someone addressing women's Bible study group, etc., having some kind of bookmark is often important when turning the pages. Preachers in the pulpit can find them helpful.
I’m not in any kind of ministry like that. I need them because I’d forget my head if it wasn’t firmly attached!!
