Bible Study or Theology? Which Forum Should I Post In?

To help keep discussions organized, here is a simple guide for choosing the right forum.

Bible Study
The Bible Study forum is for studying Scripture itself. Threads usually focus on a specific passage, chapter, book, or closely related group of verses. The goal is to examine what the text says, its context, meaning, and how it should be understood.
Examples:
A study of Matthew 5.
What does John 3:16 mean?
Understanding the Parable of the Sower.

Theology
The Theology forum is for discussing biblical doctrines and beliefs. These threads often bring together passages from different books of the Bible to explain or debate a particular teaching.
Examples:
Faith and works.
Salvation and baptism.
Repentance and obedience.
The Trinity.
Predestination and free will.

A Simple Rule
If your thread mainly studies one passage of Scripture, it probably belongs in Bible Study. If your thread builds a biblical teaching by using many passages from different parts of the Bible, it probably belongs in Theology.

Both forums are valuable. The only difference is whether the main focus is studying a passage or discussing a doctrine. Choosing the right forum helps members find the discussions they are looking for and keeps topics organized for everyone.
