I agree Gen2. It's best to ignore those trolls who get on threads just to promote false agendas though.
IMHO, that could be 90-95% of the registered base. All claiming "they read" the Bible. I'm sure most do. But how many are reading books by specific false teachers, getting "church doctrine" watching YouTube videos and subscribing to various videos by themed subjects such as eschatology to substantiate their desire to somehow prove what they think is right, instead of letting God's word and the spirit show it to them in due time when they are ready to receive it. No, their lusts to fill their belly on the subject is their downfall and their refusal to put away pre-conceived notions will be their stumbling block.

That is true that most read the Bible....but it seems like most read the OT as if those prophecies were not fulfilled in the NT (with the exception to one partially unfulfilled Isaiah prophecy about the last day). Then they skip the gospels, Acts, and the epistles, and jump over them to the symbolism's of Revelation when well-educated theologians can't agree on the terms that were used by the scattered dispersion of the early church.

Nonsense!
It is people who twist and misinterpret scripture to suit their own ideas, to what they think God should do for them.
Satan just sits back and laughs.

There is going to be a sudden and very shocking change to our present way of life. God has told us all about it, but those who hold to false teachings are blinded to it. Ephesians 4:18
It isn't too late yet, there is still time; however short, to carefully read what God actually does plan to do and to know what we must do during the forthcoming end times. Isaiah 51:4-8
One thing is a fact, God isn't going to magically teleport believers to Jerusalem as has been taught

Certainly best for our mental well being, but I often feel the need to correct for those young Christians who will be misled by their lies.

Unfortunately, those trolls are the majority of members on all Christian forums so it is a daunting task.

I do the same until I figure out they are only here to post their agenda and have no interest in changing it. It is easier to tell who they are by tracking how long they have been on a website and how many others they jump onto in order to post the same ole, same ole stuff of numerous threads and twisting scripture to the point of absurdity. To me it is a waste of time when I could be helping someone who "like in dispensationalism" has at least some potential for seeing "the light" of scripture as scripture is written.

So; what does Matthew 24:31 mean?
That prophetic verse says the Lord will send out His angels to gather the elect to where Jesus will be; that is in Jerusalem.
I agree Gen2. It's best to ignore those trolls who get on threads just to promote false agendas though.
But it is far from the best to ignore the truths of what God has planned for our future.
We are plainly told that we must endure until the end of this age. Matthew 24:13, Revelation 13:10 & 14:12, Hebrews 10:36-37 and 1 Corinthians 10:13 says our testing will not be beyond what we can endure. 1 Peter 4:12

So it is essential to get any fabulous ideas, like sitting in heaven watching the earth pass thru tribulation, right out of your minds. Those kind of theories and ideas are a serious distraction and leave one in the dark about the amazing truths of the end times.

We Christians are the Overcomers for God; His true Israelites. The Prophesies of redemption and gathering into all of the holy Land in peace and prosperity, are for us. Isaiah 63:12

Big Smiles, you have angels gathering believers from around this physical globe, and transporting them to Jerusalem, where you believe Jesus will be in the future upon this earth

Keraz that Sci-Fi would make Tim LA Haye in his make believe (Left Behind) series blush

I asked you; What does Matthew 24:31 mean?
Are you incapable of making a proper answer? That Jesus will be in Jerusalem when He Returns, is proved by Zechariah 14:4
Sound The Alarm!

Many claim Jesus will literally return to Jerusalem, and rule "On This Earth" In A Millennium this being false in deception

Jesus warned his followers against this teaching, Jesus wont be found anywhere upon this earth as many claim

The Antichrist will be in Jerusalem, claiming to be Messiah Returned, "Beware"!

"Believe It Not" "Go Not Forth"

Matthew 24:23-27KJV
23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.
24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
25 Behold, I have told you before.
26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.
27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Revelation 13:13-14KJV
13 And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,
14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.

Revelation 19:20KJV
20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

This argument is ridiculous.

There were also many antichrist in the first century. Does that mean Jesus was not literally on earth, because, well you know, your argument would forbid them to follow even Jesus, as He may not be the true Messiah.

Scripture teaches that Christ will return. That is totally different than some claiming to be the christ. As pointed out many claimed to be the christ also when Jesus was on earth in the first coming. So you are prohibiting Jesus on earth based on a warning, even though Jesus was also literally on earth at the same time.

Scripture teaches that Christ will return.
That's the only part of your post that you got right. The next time Jesus will return is the only second or last coming at the end of the age on Judgement Day. To bring a glorified Christ back down to a sin-cursed earth with sacrifices being reinstated would be an "abomination" in his eyes because he had already fulfilled the role of being the one-and-only sacrifice for all time.

No, that will be "in the air", as Paul taught in 1 Thess 4:14-17. After that is the judgment as portrayed in Matthew 25:31-46. It won't be in Jerusalem since heaven and earth will flee from His presence when the judgment takes place (Revelation 20:11).

But it is far from the best to ignore the truths of what God has planned for our future.
It's best to ignore your interpretations of what God has planned.

This is ironic for you to call someone else's argument ridiculous when most of your arguments are completely ridiculous.

As I quoted and you avoided, Zechariah 13:4 proves that Jesus will Return to Jerusalem on earth. Further proved by Zechariah 14:16-21, where people must come annually to worship the King the Lord of Hosts, Psalms 122:1-9
Jesus, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Revelation 19:16
Psalms 110:2 God extends the rule of Your powerful scepter, from Zion; reign over your enemies. Your people give You homage.....
The new earth does not come until the end of the Millennium.
It's best to ignore your interpretations of what God has planned.
What the Prophets say; is what will happen.
Your interpretation that the final Great White Throne Judgment comes at the Return, is false and contrary to plainly stated scripture.

You do not know the Mind of God.
He will give the earth a 'sabbath' rest. The final thousand years of the 7000 decreed by God; when Jesus will rule as King

Rude comments by posters here, show an intransigence and the inability to understand or even to properly read the Prophetic Word. NOT how we Christians should be.

Your claim of Rude is a joke, to think a person would claim believers are going to be magically transported to Jerusalem at the second coming Sci-Fi 101
