The books of the Bible from Matthew to Acts chapter 2, was all based on Jesus coming to fulfill the Law of the commandments that were given to the nation of Israel on Mount Sinai.

Okay, that is all fine and good. From Acts 2 onward in the Bible is where the fullness of understanding of the new covenant come into play. It where people are born again and become, a child of God, or a son or daughter of God, even becoming a joint-heir with Christ.

I believe the water - washing of the word is something which is a effort on our part to read and study and learn about, concerning all things pertaining to God, Jesus, Historically even the Nation of Israel and its final consummation of having the material religion done away with.

With me so far?

The need for the Gospel of Christ which should been seen and read out loud to oneself and studied, to be washed by the word, what does this do? It is you by placing effort to seek after God because you are choosing to and desiring to, that allows God to enter into your mind and heart, and He will start working on them if… if… you allow him to.

People can take scriptures and make a law out something not truly there and it can leave only half of the message and not the full submersion of water/washing one truly needs. According to scripture our flesh naturally hates reading the word, but the spirit if you have accepted salvation through grace by faith in the death, burial and resurrection of the Son of God.

Having never really read much of the Bible until the age of 26, I can tell you from experience learning the word is a great thing, and there are many hard things to accept that pierces through the flesh and in turn looking to Christ makes one humble before their Creator. He literally gave his life for you.

The need for the Gospel of Christ is the power of God unto salvation. That power of God is the power of the resurrected spirit of Christ that now lives within you and the Holy Spirit that helps you… notice how it is of God… that helps you produce fruit by the spirit. All good things come from God.

One of the hardest things to accept probably is the fact of what Jesus said - if anyone desires to come after Him must deny themselves and pick up the cross (die to their selves), and follow - after Him, to do the Will of God.

What is the Will of God, to believe on his son, and love your neighbor as yourself.

It is not about going and doing things like - volunteer work, or feeding the homeless.

That would be material based work, of the flesh.

Doing the Will of God is when you have someone persecute you but you are kind to them (abiding and remember what Christ had spoken about forgive 7x70), there are other things even Paul mentions that add empathizes of our natural character, to become dead to wrath, malice, greed, seeking to do evil to others and the things of the like (Colossians 3).

Salvation by grace through faith - that is just the first step, however to become a join heir with Christ is to follow after him, growing from a child of God in faith. To a Son or a daughter of God in faith.

Through out the Apostlic record resurrection is mentioned, universal resurrection is a true statement.

Did you know however, there is a better resurrection that what is mentioned in Apostlic record founded in a letter from Paul, in which he wrote about running to get the prize the High Calling of God, obtaining the resurrection of the dead. If you find that scripture and look up what resurrection of the dead is, you’ll find it’s different that every other mention in the Records.

Why do I bring this up? Because the offer is there, but suffering is involved, that is suffering for Christ. It’s not suffering materially or whatever or a dreading, but it a total relying on Christ abiding him and allowing God to work through you. To love God and to love others, even if they are difficult.

Now on the online spectrum there is always difficult and people will like you, hate you, despise you, or whatever and those who may harass you there is the option to ignore them and just let them be, but in real life when faced with opposition say someone who is an enemy of yours makes some smart remark to you, that actually is degrading.

One has a choice and action to make.

Do I punch this person in the face? Do I make a scene here? Or do I trust Christ, turn the other cheek, let go and let God?

James 1:27
Pure and undefiled religion before our God and Father is this: to care for orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

Isaiah 1:17
Learn to do right; seek justice and correct the oppressor. Defend the fatherless and plead the case of the widow."

Hope this helps !!!

Here is that verse spoken about from Paul.

Anyone comes by read this out
loud to yourself.

Paul talked about his early life before Christ had come, which He understood already about the resurrection ((when penning this down for the Philippians) having been taught from the Lord Jesus Himself.

“I was so zealous that I harshly persecuted the church.

And as for righteousness, I obeyed the law without fault.

I once thought these things were valuable, but now I consider them worthless because of what Christ has done.

Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord.

For his sake I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I could gain Christ and become one with him.

I no longer count on my own righteousness through obeying the law; rather, I become righteous through faith in Christ.

For God’s way of making us right with himself depends on faith.

I want to know Christ and experience the mighty power that raised him from the dead. I want to suffer with him, sharing in his death, so that one way or another I will experience the resurrection from the dead!”

‭‭Philippians‬ ‭3:6-11‬ ‭NLT‬‬

HI Matt, Joshua once said that every promise that God had made to them had been fulfilled, now thousands of years later, we see so much more in the progressive fulfillment of Gen 3:15. What is really great about that is that we can have full confidence in that which is to come, will. Exciting times we live in sir, we are witnesses to prophecy being fulfilled right before our very eyes. Even unbelievers see these amazing things, just without the discernment of the why.

Cool brother (though we are still different as far as what we may believe), I love you.

You are surely able to see the things being fulfilled right before our eyes. Example 2 Tim 3:1-5, like reading a newspaper.

That was a letter written to Timothy from Paul, and it was very much in their day my brother Robert.

Yes sure it all still is around but as we are naturally inclined to do evil it is just a reality.
