@Lambano I see....but Colorado has altitude, which some ppl cannot cope with......My first encounter with Florida humidity was when I interviewed for the job that eventually took me there. I went from Colorado's very pleasant August weather, took an air-conditioned plane to an air-conditioned airport, took an air-conditioned bus to an air-conditioned rental counter, drove an air-conditioned car to the hotel, got out of the car, grabbed my suitcase - and it hit me. The Florida summer humidity. By the time I walked across the parking lot to the hotel lobby, I was drenched in sweat.
That summer, I also interviewed for a job in Dallas. I remember the time-and-temperature sign at the bank across the street from the hotel. 11:17 A.M. 115 degrees F.
What's the weather like where you are?

Hi Josho,
Today has been unbearably hot, 41 ( think that 104 ). I had to go out and I have never known it this hot over here. However it’s is suppose to cool down a little bit tomorrow. Kind of glad I have been off work this week.
I don’t like all the panic about it though, and all the constant news reports and guidelines.
it does brink back memories of a heatwave in 1976 , lasted for ages and we had swarms of ladybirds everywhere, and I mean everywhere…….

Oh thanks @Josho the temps have been record breaking and very extreme for us here. It has been hard to cope but I have managed. I prayed that God would help me and he did. It's still 85 degrees outside at almost 9pm and still too warm to sit outside. It seems our railway lines are built to withstand temps of about 35C but many lines and routes have been cancelled today because of the excessive heat. Good new though - down to 21C tomorrow with rain.
The temps in the U.K. have dropped in the last hour, it’s raining and every so often we are getting the lovely cool breeze through the open windows,so refreshing….
Sadly London saw fires which they were struggling to get under control….however much worse in Europe, France has some awful fires at the moment.

I do remember Rita and how there was water shortage and swing bridges being sprayed with water to keep them from seizing up. It got to over 100 in our garden this afternoon.
It's still mad hot in my room where the PC is so I'm off now till later after my shower.

It was hot here yesterday, so hot that even the wind warmed us up instead of cooling us down.
It appears global warming is true after all and we're due for the chop..-

Many do it in Australia during hot high 30s, 40c summer heatwaves, it's crazy, then they get sunburnt.
